trying to get my headlights out to clean the lenses and also get a dead spider carcass out of the housing, also going to be fitting some angel eyes.

But i can not access two bolts, You know the one's I'm on about, drivers side rear left (as looking at it from in front of the car) and passenger side rear right. for love nor money i can not get to these bolts, i have followed guides that say to remove the Recirc valves and the throttle body pipes, but my bolts are just too stuck, i even tried using a breaker bar and had no joy in getting them to budge, i can get a spanner on them, but then i have no room for leverage.

With the recircs in the way, i cant get at them from underneath its driving me mad. its getting to the point where I'm thinking of drilling out the bolts from the top, then using something else to secure them once i put them back it in, these are the only two bolts I'm struggling for access to.

Take one long drill and go between the rubber h/light surround and drill it out from the top.Thats what I had to do years ago.LOL.Then I used a sheeting bolt which has a cross cut in it.Nice new square nut on end and a large washer to cover the drill hole = Sorted.Dont bother fitting the nuts to the ones under the wheel arches as even with three on each it aint going anyware.

Finally after much f'ing and blinding, i managed to snap the rear drivers side headlight bolt, and managed to get to the passenger side back bolt with out removing anything other than the Airbox :D

Now the fun of removing the glass, any tips? i know about 200 degrees for around 15mins (constant checking) and prying gently, think when i put them back together ill just clean off the old glue and use some thing else to seal them up

Nice one mate. I used a hair dryer to seperate the lense, didnt need it really they just fell apart lol!!!!

figuring out how to work that cooker thing was challenging enough for one night....

Meh, hmmm i have 2 screws on the front of the light with nothing attached where they are, I'm taking it that should be a bracket for the rubber to sit on? but its not there.

yep my cloth is black now from both lenses lol

At least i got rid of that spider carcass that was doing my nut in, going to go clean the glass now. then work on how to fix these angel eyes, but does seem as though someone has already been in these, one of the plastic inlays that is held in place with two screws at the front, has had the screw holes snapped off.

Make sure all your adjusters are working, if not replace with the Tamiya gears.

I do have some spare, let me know.

If you search 'Headlight Once Removed Jobs!!', i cannot link for some reason, i did a small write up on what I did :sweatdrop:

One thing I wish now I had done was to fit 'Halos', but I aint taking them back out until I have another job at least to do on them :surrender:
