hello everyone. not really been on here since i joined, still not got a zx, but hoping that will change in the near future.

anyway, saw this on ebay and decided to have a bit of a bid at it-

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180556447819&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

not expecting to win at all with my measly £600 bid but the end is near and i am still the highest bidder. problem is it's a fair old distance away and i'm now struggling for somewhere to keep it!

To be honest, i cant see it selling for £600 but if it does do you think its worth the 3 hour drive to collect it? and any ideas what could be causing it not to start? i will be doing a compression test before i part with any money just would be nice to get it started.

thanks in advance.

Could be quite an easy fix i would say however as long as he has been honest and the rest of the engine is ok. The fact that it turns over is a great sign. A simple check to see if your getting a spark and then it can be narrowed down to fuel problem. I would get it transported from there straight into Zedworld to be fixed. I have used a site to transport cars about before and its a whole host of transporters bidding for the job so you get quite a good deal and they have the usual feedback and so on. Worth a punt id say :)

wow, speedy response. i'm a big fan of nissans, always had 200sx's before but lost a bit of faith due to their bottom end problems and excessive rusting. i still imagine i'll get outbid but if i dont i'll make some room in the garage and this can be a long term project. cheers.

could be a good deal but the bodywork on that car makes it look seriously beat up.

i'm a bit dubious to be honest. "the injector plug comes loose"??

Yeah, right. he means he can't fix it because the engine is about to fall out.

That's what I thought, but then at £600 I could break it if it's no good and make twice that easy. Manual box/conversion must be at least £400!

i know of a mate who now dose not use his car and only this weak took it of the road because he dosent use it from one week to the next and theres nothing wrong with it at all and he says his going to sell it ,and to my knowlege your going to buy this just for a couple hundred less seems mad for the risk?

its a common problem mate . dodgy plugs on zeds cause all sorts of issues . its just a case of working your way through them . one of my next jobs is injector plug replacement
