Just been looking over the JAE pics and I'm so upset my fav 300zx has been turned into one of my least fav.

The wheels and bonet have ruined for me what was almost the perfect 300zx.

whilst the car may not be to everyones taste it is a very fine exaple of some excelent farication and attention to detail. i dont doubt for 1 second that anyone is questioning that. it is a great asset to the club.

In many ways i think its good that people on here question the asthetics of a car like this, it generates new ideas and brings fresh thought on what a car like this is.

I know at the moment there are quite a few cars in the making that should really represent the club in a good light.

personally speaking i am biuilding a zed that i hope to be a prize winner too, it will be very different to the beast .i dont mean to sound like i expect to win any prizes but it is an ambition of mine to do so. the only way you can really do this is by producing what you belive is the ideal car in your mind.

Hats off to jason for his efforts and its good to see the hard work paying off. i dont know him at all but im sure he will relish the competition.

Just my thoughts

Always loved this zed and to be honest I not one for painted wheels but the powder coating on Jasons alloys looks awesome and has put more depth into the deep dish also love the artwork, it is a highly modded zed and the changes are an improvment for me good work Jason:clap: now when are you selling it to me?

As said above, you really have to see the beast in the flesh, pics cant really do it justice. You miss out on the whole aura of the thing.

The time and effort Jason and son, put into this work of art is commendable and regardless of peoples opinion, the 300zx is in the spotlight again.

So cant wait to see what new incarnation he can dream of next........

Well done mate, outstanding.

Graham

everyone will find some thing they dont like about some ones zed, but the beast has some great things on it done to it and there are things i dont like (but thats IMO) but you post up your zed and there will be something some one else wont like. either way its a great car and i have seen it in the flesh, the paint work has to be seen to be believed

The amount of effort, time love and I would imagine tears and frustration that Jason has put into the evolution of his car over the years must beggar belief

When I first saw the car in the flesh and saw those teeth on it I loved it.

It used to give me nightmares at one time dreaming of it coming up behind me and chewing great chunks of the rear of my car

The only thing when I first saw it and Jason together a few years back that I did not like was the colour co-ordinated trainers he was wearing that were the same colour as the car i thought that was a bit ott LOL

Jason Bud Big Kudos to you for again bringing the Marque to the top of the Japanesse Show car scene ,Well done indeed

The car is clearly a labour of love and is very fit for use as a highly modified show car. Clearly it is what the judges like as well else it would not win anything. Jason has got to a stage where it is probably getting difficult to do anything else to it because it has had so much done. I cant wait to see it in the flesh one day....

Airbrushing can work really well, I thought about getting mine done under the hood with blue electrical bolts, or some japanese cartoon girl or something. But on reflection I thought it might have been too much on my car so decided against it. Looking at the older and newer pics I like it both ways but preffered the look of it before, and think the silver wheels gave it a bit of contrast as well. Not the type of car I would want to own as its not in my taste but thats just a personal thing. I like certain aspects of it but im not a wide arch lover. Im sure its very inspirational to those who love highly customised and modified zeds. I looked at lots of pictures of it before I started my own build.

But "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" or "the beast" in this instance. I am really pleased for Jason and glad he holds the flag for us 300zx owners at these things. If we all liked the same things there would be a lot of single women out there!

Well done bud, you have done really well yet again.

my spelling sucks

i dunno, there is a fair amount Jason could still do to it. im not saying it needs it, but if it has to evolve to win things, then i could sure as hell give some good ideas, see through bonnet could be a good move considering his disco he has under the hood.

As art goes i love it. would i do it to my own? nope i love driving it, if i had got my to the stage Jason has id never want to put it down the road, it would get trailered everywhere and the mileage would just be getting it on and off the trailer.

the wheels you really have to see in the flesh to appreciate just how good they look, i can understand people liking the old way, but full chrome alloys have been done to death. at least you don't see many alloys that match a custom paint job and pull it off so well.

But surely thats a risk you'd take by going all out with a project like his. Some are not gonna like it.

I've started admoration threads about The Beast in the past cos I loved to so much, I adored the bonnet, the wheels were stunning and in my eyes (note the key word of "my") the car is now less atractive through the new changes.

I've met Jason a few times and I'm sure he apreciates indervidual opinion and wont mind this thread at all as it is not an attack at the work or him but personal tates and wanted to know what other people think.

This for me was the Beast at its very best

zed fest good weekend that and i agree the beast did look well and i loved the wheels also like that but since they were damage earlier this year i decided to rebuild them which took about 5 weeks to do and the colour change in my eyes was something i always wanted to have on the car but did not want to spray them as they would not last so when i came across powder coating in this colour and high finish it just had to be done, and a few guys who was not sure of the change from photos who then actualy saw them in the flesh 90% changed there mind, as reguarding the beast on the bonnet i will give you a insight to whats behind the inspiration, most of you will not know this about me but im very spirtually minded and also psyhic ,my spirtual colour is the colour of my car and my spirtual guide is a north american indian who wears a wolf over his left shoulder so part man and wolf you could say and his name is grey wolf so hence the beast being a wearwolf , now all of you think im nuts now lol but a little insight dont hurt and can explain why i do what i do, ,

i take this thread as a positive and maybe some who may not agree to some extent what i do to my zed but as a average i think 90% of you look forward to seeing the car and me and if it brings us success well that must be a good thing for our club, i have made some good friends within the club over the years and enjoy our yearly get together and some people who come with me none of them own a zed apart from yassa but we all love JAE ,

long live the 300zx and us guys who drive them:rockon::rockon::rockon:

You missed the convo about how us humans got the planet earth on Saturday night didn't you, for that i don't think your mad. lol

Amen to that and i get you on the spirit guide mate :)

I've never met you or seen your fantastic car Jason but i hope i do one day. Love what you've done to the Zed and your reasoning behind it, and from your response to this thread you sound like an absolutely top guy. Fair play to you and congratulations on a second succesive triumph. I doff my cap to you.

Daffy.

loved the car before and still love it now, although i prefer it with chrome alloys, what you do is your choice and the awards it won speak for it self.

You missed the convo about how us humans got the planet earth on Saturday night didn't you, for that i don't think your mad. lol

I think that had to be the most random and surprising conversation that i had all weekend.

For someone so loopy, as yourself, to come out with such a well though of philosophy....was nothing short of craziness.

Anyway, i'll stop spamming now and back on topic :p

, most of you will not know this about me but im very spirtually minded and also psyhic ,my spirtual colour is the colour of my car and my spirtual guide is a north american indian who wears a wolf over his left shoulder so part man and wolf you could say and his name is grey wolf so hence the beast being a wearwolf :

I think you should be locked up, thats the crayest thing i have ever read you fruit cake :lol:

well mine is a cowboy and he's going to shoot your indian in the head :gun_bandana::cowboy::lol:

Jasons Z is special, special in that it is HIS creation, some may like it or not, that is irrelevant , its whats inside his head thats transferd into what you see, some people are more creative and wish to show it in many different ways, some things on his Z i would not do/like, but i myself have had and done mods or whatever to many cars inc Zs, some have said "not for me" others "fook me thats great" both are in a way compliments as its individualism that counts, god knows how many times i have been to shows/meets with rows of Zs lined up and walk up and down noticing all the variations in the marque, have said many times that the chances of finding two indentical 300s is very rare, i think thats the beauty of the car, you can develop/change it into what you feel happy with the most, i say keep em coming, what ever the creation, lifes dull without it!
