Just been looking over the JAE pics and I'm so upset my fav 300zx has been turned into one of my least fav.

The wheels and bonet have ruined for me what was almost the perfect 300zx.

I like the wheels, i really do. And although i really appreciate the artwork on the hood, i'm not sure if it suits the car. Very well done though.

Oh and i LOVE the spoiler. really love it :)

Not being rude buddy but starting a thread to pick fault with a members car isn't that polite.

Jason has put a lot of work into the Beast over the years and it's a show car that's won alot of awards and raised awareness to the 300zx in the public eye. It's his personal taste and although I don't agree with everything he's added to the car - it's his car and a very nice one at that and i have no right to pick fault.

I wasn't sure about spraying those wheels but they've worked pretty well and having seen the spoiler properly for the first time on these photos I think it goes with the whole style of the car.

Well done Jason! :)

This is no different than starting a thread about a car I found on ebay and pointed out bits I dont like, which happens all the time but is ok?

The Beast is a very well known car on these forums and has had two big changes made to it, why is it odd that I may want to discuss them?

Tbh, i love the wheels, not sure about the actual picture on the bonnet, not the one i would of chosen, but it doesn't stop it looking the dogs danglies.

The car is for shows, its built to a personal taste, and although i wouldn't do that to my own 300, if Jason gave me the keys i wouldn't throw them back at him in any hurry lol

The car in the flesh is absolutely stunning to look at, a real work of art, and with art not everyone appreciates the same tastes. But doesn't stop it being good though does it?

Jason i love your motor, and especially that spoiler, I'm sure if you went into production with it, you would have a few interested parties.

PS i love the wheels, fepping awesome look, i love the color as well, congrats on winning show and shine :)

sick zed that, sick, love it, highly fettled with, but not OTT, original and extremely well done, and if someone said my car used to be the best, but now i have ruined it by using my own ideas, i wouldn't be very chuffed at all!

I thought the Beast was a stunning achievement and as mentioned above, an absolute work of art. I particularly like the way it has been seriously modded without taking away the superb natural lines of our cars. Brilliant, simply brilliant....and I managed to keep the kids from dismantling it!

But surely thats a risk you'd take by going all out with a project like his. Some are not gonna like it.

I've started admoration threads about The Beast in the past cos I loved to so much, I adored the bonnet, the wheels were stunning and in my eyes (note the key word of "my") the car is now less atractive through the new changes.

I've met Jason a few times and I'm sure he apreciates indervidual opinion and wont mind this thread at all as it is not an attack at the work or him but personal tates and wanted to know what other people think.

This for me was the Beast at its very best

The beast Rocks !

your not wrong there pal!

There are things on that car i would've done differently, (even tho it is shit hot) but it ain't my car, so i wouldn't say it is ruined because he used his imagination and creative personal touch, i'm only saying, i ain't having a go pal

We all have our own opinions on the Beast, But having seen it so many times in it's various stages, it just gets better and better. I was unsure about the wheels being powder coated blue, but when you see them in the flesh then they are awesome. and that bonnet, all I can say is WOW!!!

I'm pleased that the JAE Show & Shine judges shared my views on the beast and voted it CAR OF THE SHOW 2ND year running. :cool3::cool3::cool3:

no joke, but the sexiest car ive seen on this forum. everytime i see pics of it, i love it. bonnet isnt to my taste but i am still like 'WOW'

I loved the wheels before they were painted. they were wow and in your face. which this car is about.

I think the bonnet is a mistake. should fit his old one back on. i know its cost alot to do and the workman ship. but its a dated idea and it dosnt look wow . gone way to far with the beast thing :(

Im sorry but i have to disagree, imho the car is much better now , i absolutely love that bonnet it's a work of art and whoever done it is very talented as it looks 5* to me. the car may not be to everyones taste but its clear that jason wants a show car and to me he has a perfect example of one.

And if the car didn't look good it wouldnt win so many shows and especially JAE which has hundreds of cars that look absolutely amazing not to mention it has won the show twice in a row which is an awesome achievment.

All i can say to jason is congrats on having such original ideas, we all mention how everyone at other forums look down at the 300zx but maybe its because compared to other cars we havent quite gotten the originality to be the same as them , this is good for jason, for the club and the 300zx which we all love!

If everything was the same it would be plain boring. its nice to see people doing things differently , like jason,madmax,mac1 ,carmad, dazvert etc etc theres quite a few really good examples atm.

and i look foward to seeing what he does next, congrats and good luck if you have anymore plans ( even tho you dont need luck )

i totally agree on that. If the artwork was maybe abit more subtitle, like if you can only notice the artwork in bright light like its lightly embossed in the paintwork then that would have looked better.

painting the centre of any deep dish wheel will make it look smaller or give the perception of that also

Very well said mate.

Oh dear here I go

In my tasteful or not opinion I prefer the last reincarnation

But this is only from viewing the pictures

To keep a modified show car at the top of the table it needs to evolve

Which is very hard to do on something that is described as perfect

I take my hat off to him to attempt to make the beast even better

The judges obviously thought so and they are the ones that count in the showing world

We should all remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder

So well done mate

Look forward to next years beast

In my opinion this was probably a good thread to post as Jason is a great bloke and wouldnt take offence in the post being started, Infact he would take it as a massive compliment that we are talking of his pride and joy, and i would love a post like this being starting about my zed`s as i appreciate peoples idea`s/comments,negative or positive, I personally have seen this car in the flesh a few times and absolutley love it, the wheel`s look fantastic in the flesh and the older bonnet looked better imo, but over all this is one stunning zed and i can gaurantee that next year it will look even better again with the plans Jason has for it. Well done Jase, LOVE IT mate

i love it too the wide kit espically would really like to see a build up or even pics nice one jason

Agreed and a great result

this is the problem you have with a show car

if you change something , then some people may not like the changes

but if you dont change things, then people will get bored with it

to stay on top, you have to keep re-creating things. (a bit like maddona)

some people will like it, some wont

but if you dont do something. then youve got nothing new.and you wont get noticed.

well done to jason.......still on top
