Hi,

I am looking to buy a 300zx, have £700 currently saved up so far.

Looking for a white, yellow or black one.

I love this car, just sold me pimped out Pug 406 for one of these!

hi and welcome to the club

£700 ? what sort of money are you looking to spend on one honestly?

Edited by hellraiser

you'll get a nice battered one smoking and bleeding oil for £700! you should be able to pick up a decent one for £2,500 nowadays :( but it's wise to keep hold of another few hundred quid to deal with any 'surprises' shortly down the line

I'd say look in the region of £2k + for a TT, preferably with as much history as you can get. Buying from a well know member on here would be a good bet, as you can go back through their posts and see what problems they have had in the past and how they have resolved them.. The buyers Guide is in the FAQ section (VERY useful indeed)

hia mate, i have a n/a manual, needs some cosmetic work doing i.e. tatty interior, and just a general clean and tidy, needs discs and an exhaust which i have in my garage, ive bought a TT so ive lost interest in it really.

however, as it is i want 800, and with a mot i want 1000. ( due to the fact i may need to spend somthing on it if it fails and i'll have to spend some time on putting the discs and exhaust on.

anyway, let me know if your interested.

its 120,000, some of its kilometers but im unsure how much, according to the last owner it had a new engine that had done 30,000 as the bottom end went on the original, i have no proof of this unfortunally, however the engine does sound sweet and pulls well.

it is rough around the edges mate, but with your kind of budget you'll only end up with a non runing Twin turbo or a Non turbo auto, this is a manual and as you may have noticed there pretty sort after really.

if you want exact details of whats needed and whats wrong you can call me on 07583085656. mechanically it seems good bar the exhaust and brakes which i have.

It is nice, looking at spending at bit more, but I do like receipts and service history unfortunately, was really seeing what's out there and seein what you guys said.

Guess you mean the exhausts in the photos are off atm?

And yeah, would need a few months tax/mot at least.

ok qwell i'd say you need to save for a little longer then.

no exhausts on it dont fit very well, i have better 4" rear boxes to put on,

Ok bud, but still, is there no way to prove the rebuild? I'm not that interested if not.

Sorry.

no sorry, and it wasn't a rebuild, it was a replacement engine.

I wouldnt worry about it, fussy is the way to go! im looking for a dark grey, 92 to 94 year, under 75k, leather seats, sports exhaust, 17 or 18" wheels, non standard front bumper....

obviously i may be waiting a while lol

I think you may be expecting a lot of car for a little bit of money mate. I really think you need to lower your expectations........a LOT. Either that or double your savings beofre attempting to buy one.

300zx......Turbo.....With reciepts......service history.......£800 - £1200?? Not happening i believe.

Personally i would have snapped up the silver one for £1000 with full MOT if i was you.

You've managed to save £500 (£700-£1200) in a short time. I'd sit tight keep saving and get the Z you really want :) Like the guys have been saying, it's a Z expect to pay out a bit more over the years lol!

Tell me about it, I bought it in Strood, Kent... Got halfway up the motorway and it decided to smoke and overheat... £1500 I paid.

Luckily the guy came and gave my money back, picked her up and said he's going to put her straight in the garage, see what it is.

The rad was freezing although the temp was boiling and lump was cooking.

No water in the rad at all!, not sure what is was, AA man said cam belt was fine.

Guy said if he can fix it and I said if he can proive with receipts that the work is done properly, I'll still have it.
