What is the best glue out there for sticking this stuff down?? Tryed evo stick but it still seems to stuggle with the heat with it being a black car and all that:yawn:

hmmm i tryed spray before and was really poor.

do you know of any brands?

3M Fastbond 10, comes in a 1tr tin. This is what our aircraft trimmers use for all interior adhesion applications, and used for my interior retrim. Best glue by-far, and is applied with a brush. You can "thin" it down with MEK or a similar thinner to aid spreading.

EVo Stick Instant contact adhesilve (the solvent version, which means its usually locked away in shops)

Comes in a can, requires brushing on. Dont get the non-solvent version, its crap.

Hey i used both evo stick spray glue and dunelm spray glue, i thought the dunelm stuff was better but my entire interior is now lifting so im going to get it done professionaly in alcantara :batman:

i trimmed using synthetic leather and it was my first time, at first it seemed to do the job but after a nice hot day it went gloopy and just lifted.

Cornflakes, sugar and milk mate, toughest substance known to man. That will keep your trim together.

I found Frosties were more effective :cool3:

i used heavy duty carpet glue in a spray can, failing that corn flakes, milk and sugar. (ever rushed out the door in the morning, then had to try cleaning the damn bowl when you get home with dried on cornflakes, you need a pneumatic drill for that stuff)

so is there a general conscenus what is the best glue for retrimming and were can ya get it

I used the evo stick multi purpose Impact instant contact adhesive as in post 10, its in a red tin with a silver top, ive had no problems. Any local hardware store, B&Q only seem to do the small tins, but to do all the panels for the interior i used 2x 500ml tins.
