driving from brentwood i hammered it and at 90 it stopped pulling again for a second and a half so my cars old problem is back.

didnt redline but makes me wonder...............

Can a faulty speed sensor cause these sorts of havocs?

It happens when high loads at high speeds.... i can redline at any other gear except 3rd and above and so cant tell if its Injectors, loom or a faulty Speedo

im getting seriously fecked off with this car now. it runs smoother but still cant handle high loads.. It used to do it around 3rd gear at 70-80 mph when it was auto and now its manual its slightly higher speed before doing it but it is still there! :(

This Post is Exactely what im experiencing but even with FULL tank

i had that, with numerous causes at numerous times, an intermittent boost spike/drop-off from the boost jets, removing them cleared it, just sometimes lost puff not long after boosting... dodgy PTU/loom... dodgy injector and loom, and timing a bit out, might be no use to you, just thought i'd pass it on! electrical connections/components tend to fail, especially if there is some crud on the connections causing a high resistance when they are given some work to do, i.e. puttin a load on it, flooring it.... also the movement of the engine when booting it can move leads/plugs a little bit, maybe enough to disrupt the connection. the best thing i ever invested in was a new loom, gave me peace of mind and took dodgy connections more or less out of the equasion when it comes to fault finding... maybe no use to you, but hth pal....

Yeha i think the next thing im going to invest in is a loom.

The only other things i can pin point this problem is either

A. Fuel pump defective and not going 12v

B. ECU fecked

C. Dodgy Restrictor bypass

D, Timing, CAS

looks like i need it diagnosed whilst running

Have you tried bypassing the FPCM ? That´s the thing that regulates the voltage to the fuel pump and by bypassing it you´d be giving the pump a constant 12 volt, then see if the same thing happens....that way you can eliminate the fuel pumpas a culprit if it then works, might also indicate a faulty FPCM.

i havnt though of that . worth a shot i guess. but i think i should get it diagnosed whilst i take it out on the road. Anybody know who can help me do this near me?

i suspect its CAS as other posts show similar problems. and MAFs have been shown to show same problems on full boost at WOT.

Anyone got a MAF i can try and can anyone show me how to clean CAS?

when my ptu connection wasnt all that, mine did funny things, sometimes dying under full load + restarting as the revs dropped(guess it was re-connecting) I only found it by chance when it died totally.A new ptu did it.
