i want to have my front brakes skimmed and was wondering if there was anyone who had had this done in london?

 

Mine were done via James Barr Nissan in Bishops Stortford, but they just farmed it out to a local company. I could get a mate of mine to do it if you're anywhere near the Harlow-ish area.

 

im in sutton, but how long would it take

 

Bout half an hour on the lathe, but much longer if you're mucking around removing discs etc. Find a local engineering company - it's dead easy to do.

 

I used Martin Storey Engineering in Crowborough, East Sussex (http://the-internet-pages.co.uk/england/tunb/cparts1/mse.htm). Did a good job.

It's a pretty standard and easy job for someone who knows what they're doing. I've got a number of someone who will probably be able to get it done - he's near Crawley.
