fitting the cylinder is straight forward.

it's located on the drivers side of the gearbox just below the starter motor. it's held on by two 14mm bolts so, to remove, just simply undo the two bolts and the cylinder falls off. then, the clutch line is held onto the cylinder via a banjo fitting, (possibly a 14mm banjo bolt, can't remember off the top of my head).

so to refit, bolt the new cylinder to the bell housing then reconnect the clutch line.

you may have 3 bleed nipples but, you may only have 2 and if you're really lucky, you will only have one ;)

if you have 3 nipples, there will be one on the end of the master cylinder, the second will be on the inner wing just behind the drivers head light and the third will be on the slave cylinder itself.

bleed the master then the inner wing then the slave. if you have just disconnected the slave and not allowed too much fluid to drain out then, bleeding won't be too hard.

cheers guy's thats awesome!! i'll give that ago myself soon as pos and let you know how i get on. out of interest can anyone tell me any symptoms of a slave cylinder on its way out? mine has defonately gone as there is no clutch peddle and it has dumped all the fluid on the floor! but before that the clutch started slipping in 3rd, then a little while later it started slipping in 2nd an then soon after thats when the clutch peddle went and it dumped all the fluid out, could this be all because of the slave cylinder was on its way out or could the clutch be going...?

cheers for all the help guys, jay

If its dumping the fluid out it sounds like a hydraulic problem, it is worth replacing the line with a braided one, i got mine for £22 quid from MJP on here. I decided to replace my master at the same time as my slave as I heard old master not as efficient with new slave. Bit of a PITA to get to though!
