It looked great before it was put on

attachment.php?attachmentid=56072&stc=1&d=1283965209

but it fits like absolute crap, i'm not impressed at all :taz:

attachment.php?attachmentid=56069&stc=1&d=1283965112

attachment.php?attachmentid=56070&stc=1&d=1283965112

attachment.php?attachmentid=56071&stc=1&d=1283965112.

Now it's gonna cost even more at the bodyshop to get it sorted so it looks half decent. Can't even send it back as A: they don't accept returns and B: i've already fixed my fogs into it :(

Hope others can learn by my mistakes.

wow thats w@nk :xxx:

There a company mate. By law you are intiteld to get a full refund including your p&p.

He says all sales are final but that means fook all. you have rights and the rules come under distance selling.

open up a paypal dispuite and get your money back

Edited by Car.Mad

How can they argue about no returns when it fits like that :( Why can't people have pride in the work they do!!!

Totally agree with Car.Mad, you'be bought a bumper that should fit a 300zx, not one that you have to start cutting/adding to fit and cost you more from a bodyshop :(

Really hope you get it sorted either way.

yeah just get your money back. you have all the rights. he says 30% re stocking fee what a load of ebay balls

All sales are final with no returns or exchanges except in the instances where incorrect merchandise was sent or the merchandise was defective. In the event that there is a problem with the goods, please contact us on 01747 812223. We must be informed of the problem with the order within 7 days of receipt of the product. Depending on the reason for return, a restocking fee of up to 30% may be charged. Alternative Motorsport are not responsible for any additional costs as a result of a faulty product, unless prior consent is given in writing by a member of staff.

looks like an MR2 owner had the same problem and left him appropriate feedback - I take it you will too?

he has already left it. and was the 1st customer :slap:

That is a shocking fit.

His description does say cutting and reshaping may be required:

"Please note: As with all FRP body kits preperation work which includes sanding, cutting and reshapping may be required, we also recommend that all our body kits are primed before painting. We recommend that all our products are fitted by a specialist aftermarket body kit shop or by someone who has experience in fitting after market fibreglass body kits. Please read our terms and coniditions BEFORE your may your purchase."

Also says something similar in the actualy terms and conditions as well:

"It is normal that body kits may require extensive modification to fit. We will not issue a refund due to poor fitment."

he has already left it. and was the 1st customer :slap:

ah, the positive feedback! shame he didnt wait until fitting before leaving feedback. :(

:slap: for you as well, just for the sake of it

I've got a feeling that his feedback rating will start to drop shortly, most of the ones left so far are the same as pbryant...left feedback when they received the item before attempting to fit.

I'd complain to them to give them a chance and then contact ebay, you might find out those other positive feedbacks have also gone on to complain when it came time to fit the items. If enough complaints go to ebay then he'll be dealt with.

Yep file a paypal dispute, ebay nearly always take the customers side. Plus dont send it back let them collect / arrange a courier if they really want it which I would doubt.

I agree, Dave is always on hand, should you have any questions or problems.

Ive looked at bumpers front and rear on fleabay many a time and been tempted and although any you buy might need a bit of fettling here and there, that is absolute pants.

you could get that bumper to fit fairly easy tbh. But you shouldnt have to lol!!

The crappy thing is i got the rest of my stuff from Car.Mad Dave (Skirts, rear bumper, rear spoiler) but didn't know he did that bumper :(

I can't send it back as i have already modified it to fit the new LED sidelights i've constructed and permanently secured them. Also, The bodyshop are working on it as we speak to get it to fit.

I've e-mailed the guy asking for half my money back but i'm expecting no joy. Learn by my mistakes i suppose.

I left positive feedback when i got it cos it looked good, all the lines looked ok etc. Didn't think it would fit like that. I am however going to go back on and leave followup feedback.

Gotta be honest recently got my smooth front nose panel and side skirts from carmad and the fit and finish was excellent! No reshaping or sanding needed, went straight on after a primer and spray! Top man!

copy of a copy of a copy of a copy - complete crap job!

Report them to the ebay police - open a case - it's listed as new - but it's crap quality and is not fit for purpose. I think you might get somewhere - you have nothing to lose.

Hmmmmm http://www.mrchltd.com/ are importers of 'fine Korean copy's - I think this is your bumper on the bottom dude:

Apparently the companies core principles are (and I quote) "Quality, Responsibility, Efficiency and Customer Satisfaction" (their capitalisation not mine!)!

I suggest you go call the md on: 0174 781 2223 or email info@mrchltd.com and let them know you have a captive Zed audience at your disposal and see what happens next.

Good luck. HTH

Omg thats terrable!!! no wonder why these kits dont fit if there stored like that

been there , got a new one ........ wide arch kit that is !!....one wide arch kit from ebay going cheap at Jeffs in zedworld ..make me an offer ....im sticking with Lukes wide arch kit...

Thanks for the info there. Already looked on their site before I bought it which swayed me to think it might be ok. I think I'll take your advice and contact them direct as well as through eBay.

i bought the same one, but not from a company from a geeser on ebay, exactly the same fitment, ended throwin a bag over it, sold it for peanuts and fixed up my original instead, which i'm very pleased with.... lost some money, but ya live and learn eh...

Those pics pretty much sum up my experience with every single ebay fibreglass bumper I have been asked to fit to Z's before. Utter shite.
