I see what your saying, but surely the money needs to be exchanged before the goods are sent.

might need to start another thread to discuss this further as we are encroaching on the original purpose of the thread

There is nothing to stop me now joining up. subbing £20 pump up a couple of 100 posts.

Find out whats rare etc. guess what im breaking a zed. Mint exhaust strut brace etc

no one knows me but i have a few threads and subbed so im trusted. and i dont have time for pics etc

Can you send payment as a gift mate, yeah sure. then i dissapear lol!!!

few k in the bank and know one knows who i am lol!!

Cheers for your comments Graham

I thought my suggestion for a members only sale section seemed possible and also might increase subs ?

Other sites do have rules as car mad states and they work

My few sales dealings on this site have been hassle

Maybe it's just me

Cheers kurt

Yes but the rule is nothing sent as a gift!! the price you see is the price you pay. It is down to the seller to add the fees if he wishes.

Any mention of it and a mod can delete that post and edit it like you do with the none subed seller.

Its more work for you guys but its the only way it can work :)

To be honest, if it were me, i couldnt be arsed to put up that many posts, to gain a few quid and bugger off.

In this instance though he isnt a new member, been here since 2004, ok not thousands of posts, last here 25th Aug. What can you do really to avoid what is a fairly rare occaion this sort of thing crops up.

The for sale section is in the members only area of the forum and we can have as many rules as you want, but we already get slated for acting like police lol, "too many rules".

I think you might have been unlucky Kurt, but generally the dealings are honoured with no problems, but as they say, its not news unless its bad

add the 4 rules :lol::lol:

Im not taking about this case but every one in general.

Its not hard to enforce and police. and has proven to work ??

I dont think it needs to be a rule, but made clear as part of the condition of sale and if everyone starts to sell in the same way, it will become standard procedure.

We view all posts anyway, so no extra work for us, its what we do lol

what are the current rules for selling?? fook them off they dont work and the new ones do. proven!!!

Guide lines pointers rules what ever all means the same and should be policed lol!!!!!

Ahhh Fook it. forget i said anything, it took me 3 years of banging on to get new smileis :lol:

off to bed now :)

No stamina Dave

Im sure Brian will view any of the constuctive comments and if they can be implemented to make life easier then im sure he will do it.

Cheers

Graham

Thanks Jeff very generous of you its members like yourself that make this a great place.

Im just pissed because this seems like a deliberate act to rip of as many members here and do a runner. He posted 10+ items for sale and then disappeared. Sure he could be ill or something else, but does not add up why he or his girlfriend is ignoring us.

To me on the face he looked like a respectable member. Reasonable post count, long standing member etc. I even contacted another member here who had bought an item in the past from him.

Hopefully its just a hiccup and he does reappear to sort things out and if this is intentional then if some kind of new rules could come into place to combat this type of fraud then that would be a postive.

Thanks again for the offer Jeff, I wont be taking you up on it but it is appreciated.

whether

what ever lol!!!!

I knew it was wrong, but i cannot spell and didnt know the right way so thought fook it they will know what i mean

No idea if this is feesable but what about a holding account where the funds were not released until goods were received

Don't be silly someone on here will just run off with the money lol

Vijay what if someone is in a hurry for bits, they have to wait a week or 2 for the money to clear in the account then send the bits. I dont think thats feasible or fair when a small minority spoil it for everyone. Probably 99.99% of sales go through here without issue. TBH in this case am not sure if the guilty party works away as he seems to go through periods of activity then non activity. Still no excuse not keeping in touch with people if they have passed money to him for parts etc and they havent arrrived or been sent. I dont think there is an easy answer to this, I think probably the best way is as car mad says deal with paypal and not sending funds as a gift without comeback.

I think if something like you suggested comes into force then people wont use the forum to sell stuff.

Cheers John

Hi Craig, if a member has done a deal with another member and it goes pear shaped, then the matter, in general is between the two parties to discuss and deal with the issue, as the club cannot be held responsible, however

in this case one member hasnt been available for comment for whatever reason.

As a courtesy to enable better trading, we are here to help where we can, in this instance trying to locate said member to aid the resolve of issues for several members.

Each incident or problem is different and is dealt with accordingly in the interest of the members.

HTH

Graham

hmmmm..........so what if the member is logging into a site and you know you have sent up god knows how many pms, checked in my user cp that they where read and yet they still ignore you until months later.

End of people on this site needs to get a grip of there fooked up lifes and stop ripping people off, whats the freaking point only going to fill you with guilt knowing your spending somebodys hard earned for items or services you said you could give them. disgrace!

Think some kind of rules in place would be good, just like car.mad has suggested.

No idea if this is feesable but what about a holding account where the funds were not released until goods were received

Please remember that items sold within the club, have no direct involvement with anyone, except the two parties involved with the sale.

Creating a holding account, I'm sure you have to be an accredited boker or bank or fsa registered etc... we are not a bank lol.

But if you want to put it into my account for now, will look after it for you:thumbup::arabia: wont be in the Bahamas long :lol:
