Harper Collins want to publish the Stigs biography - effectively unmasking him. Topgear chiefs are fighting it in court.

There is talk of the show ending , so may be then would be a good time to release the book,.

Maybe it will be a silly Biography depicting the stig as a 'thing' if you get what I mean

I hear ya, but at the same time perhaps he wants to cash in on his own story, and i guess he has every right to do so as it is his story (I know there has been talk of a confidentiality agreement in place which will obviously have an impact)

 

But i can't imagine that he gets paid anywhere near as much as the other 3, yet he has all the skills, perhaps he just wants his piece of the pie.

its pretty well known who he is (or at least who he is for the majority of the time), but would be a shame for it to be officially uncovered.

 

But then If it does get officially leaked then they can just change him easily enough. Thats what they did last time with the Black stig (Perry Mcarthy)

That's a shame, won't be long before he's "killed off" then. If they do they should replace him with a female stig. That German woman that took hammond round the ring (oh er missus!) in a transit would be good.

it's a shame that the secret's out and I hope it doesn't affect the show. even though some people kinda knew it was him, I still in my mind kept the two seperate.

Doesnt matter if there was speculation in the past, I never wanted to know who he was. Infact I dont even know who ben collins is now so it doesnt really matter to me that much.
