Hi all, is there a list or something which details all the differences between the SWB TT and LWB TT for parts etc?

cheers

seriously though...I think the only "differences" starts behind the front seats...that´´s where it differs..i.e parcel shelf instead of rear seats ...tank under the parcel shelf on a 2 seater...the plastic trim in the boot is different...different length would also mean longer drive shaft etc....but other than that I think it´´s all the same...but I´´ll gladly stand corrected :)

The SWB is Shorter than the LWB :tt2:

By pure coincidence, the LWB is longer than the SWB :sleep1:

i think there are some very slight differences in the door cards from a post i read the other day, petrol flap is in a different place, boot is deeper, and it's lighter, obv...... erm, dunno....

The Fuel filler cap is located in front of the rear arch on the SWB, to the rear of the rear arch on the LWB ;)

The SWB is faster and lighter with better handling and better looking, which are the important differences :p

The differences start from the a-pillar back.

it means you cant carry chicks so you must of turned

You can quite easily carry one on the passenger seat and a couple more in the boot :p

Sorry, but the LWB is SOOOOOOO much better looking than the SWB. Also, as far as the chicks go, it's 1 in the pass seat, 3 on the back seat 1 in the boot :)

Here we go again lol, threads like this always start a bun fight, yep the swb is lighter, and shorter, but quicker, depends what your budget is, agreed the convertible is lovely, a lwb is heavy, but you can get stuff in them. if they are black, and have a manual box, with twin turbos, and work they are fantastic.

but at least if we need parts, we can still get em. LWB Rule................

If you dont like what im saying, feel free to post a thread, as i will just get rid off it..................lol

If its an N/A a few chicks can go under the bonnet too :tongue_smilie:

I thought all SWBs were NAs !

Nope, SWB came in Both TT and NA form.

In fact in the U.S (where more Z's were sold than anywhere else in the world) Twin turbos were only available as SWB and the LWB were only available as NA.

Yeh, but that just makes it even more lardy with all that added weight. :devil2:

The LWB looks stretched when your used to the SWB, and the SWB looks stumpy when your used to the LWB, most people cant actually tell the difference without looking for the petrol filler cap location anyway though.

I owned 3 LWB Z's previously and was surrounded by at least 15 different examples every day at work for years, it was'nt long before I became bored of the lwb and hooked on the swb.

Anyhow, the best looking Z is the Slicktop, SWB proportions plus its roofline is the sleekest. :tt2:

Id swap my manual LWB TT targa for a manual SWB TT slicktop any day of the week lol

Good man. I have a TT slicktop and all it was missing was a manual 'box, so i'm converting. :cool3:

Size matters...... :)

i seem to have started a long thred here but i dont seem to have my question answered apart from the whole car is the same apart from where the car starts behind seats? so the doors, windows roof and everything else is the same and will fit from a LWB..

oh and ive had 2 LWB TT's and by far the SWB handles and accelerates better.. :tt2:
