Refurbing window trims on the cheap. Not good if you have peanut allergies! (pics)

Peanut butter + Paper towels = cheap way to refurb faded black plastics!

 

Can't remember where I first found this tip, but used it on my daily driver (old Skoda) about two years ago and the trim still looks new!

I guess by exterior rubbers you mean the bits next to the windscreen/on the t-tops?

 

I tried it on there a while ago and it didn't work so well... I've ended up just re-painting them!

LMAO its supposed to be peanut oil, but i suppose peanut butter is the next best thing. It works well on the tired targa rubbers not so good if you already have chrome showing though on the trims.

Do you think this would work on exterior rubbers also ?

 

alright chris .

i use peanut oil on mine after every wash . brings the rubbers up a treat . it also helps to keep them supple . much better and cheaper than car shop stuff.
