Surely no-one's car is 'perfect'... so spill the beans and tell us all what problems your Z currently has - big or small :cursing::cursing:

Do not include servicing and basic maintenance, or bodywork issues.

We may even be able to help each other if someone has a problem that you've had before, or vice versa.

Currently - my gearbox is whining and making funny crunching noises occasionally... I have a replacement sat in the garage along with a Z1 Lightweight Flywheel & Exedy Paddle Clutch ;)

My car 'winks' when you flash the headlights, so that needs sorting (bulb is ok) ;)

Central locking doesn't unlock the passenger door, but it does have an old clifford alarm that I think came off Noah's Ark

Bumper needs re-aligning.

Every now and again it sometimes holds back at low throttle settings (once a month maybe!). Not sure what it is, I think its a lazy O2 sensor. If you prod the throttle its then fine. Most weird, (im begining to think its my driving style that does it as my old one did the exact same thing!)

Its wrong because it needs 99 spec rear lights (have 99 centre panel to fit tho!)

Also need to get on with the interior retrim!

Bit like Jimmy not much wrong :tt2:

I do want now at my leisure some SMIC's and larger injectors, but not in any great rush, oh it could do with vaccing out!!!! :winkiss:

Have removed high level rear spolier, and side skirts, going smooth all over. new n/s wheel arch to be welded in. then a bit of paint.

apart from that the everything else superb. runs perfect.

does no one use evostick for interior re-trimming??? Or is the material too thin!

i used that stuff and found when it got a little warm during the day it would go gloopy and the material would sag in un-supported areas

Nothing except its half Bayside Blue and Half Grey Primer, and has been for about 18months

Drivers side window won't work and I replaced the window regulator so its not that.

Heater Matrix to be fitted.

Occassional issue with front indicator in that it doesn't work from time to time. I cleaned the bulb holder to give a good earth but it didn't rectify the issue.Must be a loose cable somewhere, and I think it may be under the wheel arch, as when I went at the side indicator lights to check for the connections to replace the carrots with the clear lenses, the problem has started to happen less frequently.

Right here goes.....

AirCon dont work - Being Removed

Drivers door lock dont work.

Dissintegrated rear brake lines - Due to rust

rust under fuel filler

water leak under plenum leaking onto coilpack 3 causing it to missfire occasionally

thats about it i think

still got a resistor bodged instead of the knock sensor. other than that i don't think anything actually "needs" doing to it.

mine was doing this until recently . i put a new fuel filter in and touch wood it aint done it since .

Hmmm!

Well, when I bought mine, I knew there was a list of things that'd need attention and some 'nice to haves' that I'd planned on 'working' through gradually but I seem to be perpetually running round trying to fix the things that are breaking that I didn't mitigate for.

It's currently sat in my office car park in Surrey leaking most of it's fluids on the ground. Coolant leak from the rear of the engine, fuel leak from somewhere, (stinks!), and a PAS fluid leak to boot.

Got a man with a spanner coming to have a look at it tomorrow. He was meant to do it on Friday, but when he arrived he drew air through his teeth and admitted he got it mixed up with a 200SX and would need more time.

(I strongly suspect there was a 'Kerching!' in there somewhere!! )
