IT just looks like a standard one? If I was spending anywhere near that I'd expect a full on rally version with 600bhp!

I like MK1 Escorts, but not that much. I'd rather have myself a Ferrari F355 with an Audi S4 daily driver. LOL

dear oh deary me,its rarer than flying ants eggs.it may be "an old escort" but think of the cars pedigree and how your buying into a slice of automotive history. If i was minted id buy it.

for me i wouldn't care what pedigree the car had if i dont like it i wouldn't enjoy it, and because of that i'm out:scooter:

Only down the road from me, might go have a look and call their company a joke for asking that much!

I think YB converted MK1s and MK2s are one of the best conversions out there. They weigh next to nothing, they look infinitely better than Sierra Sapphires and they'll be worth a lot more!

For £65k I'd expect a lot more photo's... all the inside, engine bay from all angles, the underside etc, etc, etc.... oh and a hell of a lot more in the description! For £65k that is a shite eBay ad :nono:

lol at 65k.

Each to his own and all that, but 65k?

I could get a year old R35, and a year old Mazda R3 for the Missus for that!

I'm inclined to agree!!

It's still a Mk1 Escort - and whilst they have gained status over the years (when I was 17 Mk1 and 2 Escorts were tossers' cars) - I'd be happy with an RS or Mexico for a 20th of the price!!

Richard:biggrin:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Im grown fond of the mk1 and mk2's over recent years, but to me that has its decimal point in the wrong place, and thats taking into account its rareity and condition.

Educate the uneducated guys. Is that price for real? Loving the car, but surely for that sort of money it should have some racing pedigree/provenence? Or is the value purely in its raritry/condition? 65K is a huge amount of money.
