Hi all, i have found myself a nice 93 manual tt swb in silver and just wanted to offically say hello to all and looking forward to putting my own mark on it.

Of course she has a few issues with a couple of dings here and there. Interior is pretty mint apart from steering wheel looks like its been chewed by a dog. seats and everything are like new.

My biggest problem is its only running on 5 cylinders.. but at the massively discounted price i bought it for i couldnt pass up the opportunity to own a SWB after owning a tt auto and a tt manual lWB in the past.

i drove it 220 mile home and apart from the missing cylinder it feels really good.

any how now on to the tech section and get a spanner on it..

Welcome James... you aren't a million miles from me so let me know if you ever need anything, I've got the remains of 2 TT's that have been stripped in my garage ;)

Mine was running on 5 cylinders, Listen to the exhaust note each side which should help to determine which bank it is, mine was corroded injector connectors that needed a clean up, now its good as gold. :thumbup1:

And get some damn pics up

Welcome! Get some pictures up, targa or slicktop? Running on 5 is typically a coil pack, or coil pack connector. But could be a duff injector, spark or ptu... At worst case it could be a serious fault on the cylinder that isnt firing. Personally I wouldn't have driven it any more than a few miles as you could have caused some fairly major damage. It would have been better to get recovery!

hi Baz, excellent mate nice to know a friend is local.. i will definately be needing some parts from you soon....

While i viewed the car i performed the simple checks. swapped over coil packs and plugs and the fault stayed with the one cylinder. will test the injectors tomorrow night and check for resistance. i think its a fueling problem to be honest.

Code 53 - O2 Sensor (right side). The O2 Sensor is open or shorted (abnormally high or low voltage is registered).

its a ttop bud, i cant seems to post pictures, is this because im not a subscribed member yet?

been out in it today, this is the 3rd 300zx i have owned others where 2+2 tt and by jesus this one feels stupid fast and i mean shocking. it runs so sweet and boosts so smooth. Are they many differences between the 2+2 and SWB, obviously it lighter but how much because power to weight ratio feels like the SWB weigh a good 250kg lighter the way it flys?

It only appears to have exhaust and filter, possibly the ecu could be chipped. The car has never been touched it seems other wise.
