I,ve deseamed the front section of the innerwings and modded the O/S to take a different P.S pot .

Hello buddy, to smooth out the wings did you knock in the bumps and fill? And what did you do to get rid of those horrible crappy welds along the edges?

Ayup Nick , i ended up replacing alot of it cos of the old tin worm and all the seams were seam welded any of the lumps were planished down smoothed and filled .

It,s used on the Octavia VRS and a few others :thumbup:

fantastic work there mate.

the later pics look all too familiar to me at the moment. altough i did not have to do the rust repairs you have had to ive needed to replace the pannel under the battery tray as acid must have ate its way through and ive replaced the passanger headlamp tray bit. luckily i have a breaker to hack up for spare bits.

im just filling and sanding the front inner arches. it seems to take forever to get all the little curves around the strut tops and along the edges correct.

your finished pics are very usefull to me to look at to see which brackets i can cut off and which holes i can weld up although i have just realised i have welded up a hole for the n/s brake line clip just before where it goes though the wing. doh

any close up pics of the strut op areas and tips on how to get the profiles correct. im a bit stuck on the corner where the strut tower/inner arch and side rail meet

Top work fella. Looking mightily impressive. Well played you and all your obvious hard work. Daffy.
