Warning lights....yay....

We had some epic rain the last couple of days here in Exeter and when I went to drive my car today it come up with warning lights for the lights, mission oil, and diff oil. This is not what I need when I have to get to work on Monday...

Is it possible that all three of these things would go simultaneously or is it likely to be some problem with the electrics? I checked the lights and they were all working I think, couldn't check the brake lights as I was on my own and there were no reflective surfaces :(

I'm going to try again in the morning but is there anything I should look for that might be the cause?

The car starts fine, the second time I tried today the lights didn't come one till a few couple of minutes after I started it but it was all three both times.

I had a look underneath the car and although there weren't any pools of oil or anything but the outside of the diff was covered in a coating of oil, I'm taking it that's a bad thing...

Still doesn't explain why the transmission oil light was on or are they linked?

sound more like an electrical issue to me maybe a poor connection sum place or a short. esp seeings as its coniciding with the rain. if you want to check wether your alternator is charging the car properly you can achive this with a multimeter. buy checking the voltage with the engine off and again with on. do a search you will find the full procedure :D

What about the oily diff casing?

I don't know if it's new, I've never looked before really, though it wasn't like that in the spring I think when I got the engine oil changed. It was at Zedworld in April or May so it's only been like that a couple of months max.

Something tells me I'm ringing the local Nissan garage tomorrow and getting a train and taxi to work....

Diff Oil and Lights warning problem! put this in the search bar mate says about a 10amp fuse hope it sorts it for you
