Hi, just trying to get the clutch booster system working on a fairlady i recently brought from a chap on here, but need a little help!

 

The car was a auto, been converted using a turbo box, clutch booster, slave and master clylinder system.

 

Theres a pipe just above the clutch master cylinder fluid with nothing connected to it.

 

The previous owner said this can be connected up to make to clutch pedal a bit lighter (as its quite heavy now!).

 

My understanding is that it looks similar to how a brake servo works, with a pipe with one way valve going to the inlet manifold.

 

Is this the case with this system, or is there need for some tanks etc?, or if the tanks are not needed, just run a pipe with a valve to the inlet manifold and hope it works?!

 

If anybody can confirm this would be a great help cheers

Its the vacuum pipe feed you will be missing on the balance bar on the N/A, you can T off another pipe to get the vacuum needed for the slutch booster.

 

You wont need the tanks.

oh right, so really this would work then, t off any vaccum off the inlet manifold to the booster and it should work!.

it's fairly normmal to T of the brake vacuum line where it comes off the engine. you will need a non return valve in line.

 

the tanks are there in a tt as when you boost there is no vacuum so the clutch would be heavier on boost as oposed to off boost. the tanks "store vacuum" for when you need it

all sorted now, tee'd into the brake servo hose and now have a nice soft pedal, thanks to all who helped!

 

My foot feels alot better today, and dont mind crawling in traffic now!
