Unless you're going to take the boost above 14.5PSi, then stock injectors are fine.

If you do change the injectors, you'll need ANOTHER chip.

Thank you, wow, far too teccy for me,

I guess i need not change anything then,,

had her on rollers today ran at 356 bhp at 10.6

Unless your upgrading turbos or already have you dont need to uprate the injectors.

Not quite true. Stock turbos can handle up to about 17PSi before they run out of efficiency. Stock injectors max out their duty cycle at 14.5PSi. If you want to up the boost past 14.5PSi with stock turbos, then you need uprated injectors.

She now running 14.0 psi with the de cat and filter on now,

Gearbox doesnt like it at all seems like always slipping its a auto

You took the cat off? Hope your turbos are good then. As for the auto, maybe it's time for a manual conversion. :)

I cant drive a manual, you suggested that before,

Turbos seem to be fine cars done 50k now,

so will having the cats off blow my turbos?

the pipes iv had fitted have bafflers there instead.

No you will be fine with decats on. Its just bad for old tubs that are already on there way out :)

How ever i was thinking of putting mine back on to help keep the sound down lol!!

I'd take the mileage with a pinch of salt. Removing cats basically can uncover previously unknown worn turbo seals. A lot of owners who've removed their cats have noticed the exhausts start to smoke. On a flip side, many who have, haven't reported any problems.

i have had car from day one1

and never abused it, i noticed earlier on in thread you say a stock turbo can run upto 17 before running out of efficiency,

should it be ok then as my decats have bafflers.

plugs now being fitted, was last changed dec 98 lol at LEX Nissan,

As Andyp and Santa tell you it runs so good still

Oh yes, the black UK TT. That's cool, I remember. They should be ok then.

Yeah, a stock turbo can take about 16/17 PSi. Yours is an auto, so probably sightly less as they are a little smaller. So around the 16 mark.

What plugs did you go for? Cool running NGKs?

Just to add to the above.

There's really no pint in changing the injectors on thier own at this stage.

The difference you will see between 14.5 and 16 psi on stock turbo's in minimal in comparrision to the fact that you are pushing your tubs to thier limits to the point where they are running out of puff.

Theory although never proven - removing cats destroys turbo's. If you take the cats out you are removing backpressure from the oil seals. If your turbo's were going anyway then you will just spead up the process. There's no stopping turbo seals form going apart form a strip and rebuild. But this may be a good thing for you. If you are going to change your turbo's you can get bigger injectors at the same time.

You may want to think about suspension and brake upgrades at this stage.

Beforeyou give too much thought to going fast, it's worth sparing a though to stopping.

agree with the above - i've always seen it this way: there tends to be a line in the sand at around 14.5psi, perhaps a smidgeon more. if you want to push above that line safely, then there is quite an expenditure involved, including uprated/aftermarket turbos, larger intercoolers, larger injectors, larger radiator, and matching map.
