And as for the final comment about the resistor, I may not be an expert but such a mod has it's place in keeping our cars on the road as long as the driver understands the potential problems and looks out for them. On an unmodified UK spec car denotation is bloody unlikely so it's probably quite safe until someone can aford to get it done properly

OH and one other point, you say dettonation on a standard car is unlikely??? OF COURSE, why didn't nissan think of that?!?!?! How kind of them to fit a sensor which will only be used by people that modify their cars...

 

TBH dettonation is MORE likely on a standard car because it is running standard fuel maps - on a Jap car running 97 RON fuel this will almost certainly cause dett.... So a chipped car is less susceptible than a stock car...

Oh and posidrive, dont talk nonsense, the det sensor was put there for a reason. And youd be a fool to think because its a uk car it wont detonate. Its bar none the most important sensor on the car.

I'm not complaining about having a go at anyone specific, rather bickering in general, especially when it's got to the stage of nastiness rather than the odd insult. I'm not taking any sides. Banter is OK, libel and threats are not!

 

As for not paying because sombody is having a go at somebody, this it not true. I've been bloody skint for the past couple of months. Like most parents my child and family come first. If I do spend on myself what I get should be fun!!!!!!

 

OK so I'm wrong on the sensor. Hands up. If it's done you should at least be told. I was under the impression that since the car was designed for the American market where the fuel is about as reliable in qualitity as cow shit the car wouldn't last a week without one.
