At last i can get my front brake upgrade progressed. Been watching evo brembo calipers for the last 4-6 months, waiting for the pair to come along at the right price. £162 delivered, not too bad me thinks.

New paint, lacquer and decals and they will be fine.

Be aware that the seals for these calipers are VERY expensive if you intend to rebuild them. :) BTW i did get a set of these for £88 a few months ago but sold them on for £120 when i realised how much the seals were along with the pads, lines, discs and brackets - it was cheaper and easier to buy a set of D2/Ksport 8 pots. :)

The guy said all seals and pistons where fine and in good working order, so.... happy days.

Thats all good then, if you do decide otherwise the best way I found was to buy impreza STI seal kits as they are half the price but the calipers fitted to the STI are the same as the big red brembo fitted to the evo's apart from that bleed nipples are on the "other end" no issue just needs to be swapped around with the pipe that connects the non nipple end for the 300zx setup :) FYI other people looking for big brake upgrade info.

Quavey..........

Do you know the threaded union size of the 300 fitment and the evo caaliper fitment. I am gonna get some braided lines made up, just need to know the size before i strip it all down.

Cheerz matey,

I dont to be honest! This is something I did try and find out but didnt manage to. I did call a local place that makes brake lines and they said "bring the caliper in and we'll have a look". I just decided on a different route and sold the calipers.

My dad said they are the same thread as standard calipers. He did the conversion on Phutumsch (his old car) and the braided hoses he had were direct from Dan and standard Z fitment. HTH

He also said he has all the details for making the caliper brackets etc if you need them.
