hi,has anyone had any experince with the e0-1 boost controller?i bought it 2 years ago but it has only just been fitted,i`ve had my car at the rolling road and when they tried to set the boost anything above 8psi it was just serging or spiking upto a bar and spinning the wheels.the people at the rolling road have now said its the boost controller not holding its cycle it varies from 98% down to 2% what ever that means.just woundered if there was something that maybe their missing settings wise or if anyone else has had this problem.

confused and gutted is not a good feeling plus i have a bill for £320 and the car is still running standard boost.

what are the general settings on the unit? e.g. SET, START and GAIN?

I assume its been fitted correctly and there are no major leaks/missing pipes anywhere...!?

its fitted correctly not sure about the settings on the unit though.

The E-01 has loads of screens you can flick through, but try and find the different Graphs. in the corner of the screen you will then find the above settings.

the settings should be something like the below (disclaimer: totally depends on the mods and condition of your Z, fuel you run, etc.!). These, as a very rough estimate, would give you approx. 1 bar boost. messing with these settings too much can blow up your engine!

SET: about 60 (within 55-70 range)

GAIN: about 15 (within 10-15 range)

START: about 12

my settings currently are: SET 75, GAIN 15, START 14, and give me 17.5psi

ok thanks i`ll try that when i get the car back on friday.it seems odd that the controller is faulty or am i just wishfull thinking?

SOunds most likely its been left in auto mode and not tuned.

Make sure its in manual then try the setting suggested and see how it goes then.
