if you are following the the F1 you will know what i mean

in my opinion they were team order's, ferrari should be penalised for what they have done AGAIN

i feel for massa, he drove faultlesly and he was told to let alonso past, alonso if he was any type of sportsman (which he isnt the sly backstabber) he would have gave the race to massa and not passed him

to me they should have let the two racer's race and let the better man come out the winner, its what all the other team;s have done

what do you's think???

The most obvious 'team orders' in a long while.

Everyone will of course deny it because it's against the rules.

They're just lying of course.

It has always gone on and always will though.

rose coloured glasses Alan

Do you not think that 95% of the teams give out to orders during the races to decide who finishes where in a team

Yes it should not happen and is against the current rules but most hide the fact that they are giving orders behind secrete phrases

Soon as Ferrari are involved the green eyed monster raises its head and says penalise them

Think the message on the in car radio was "Alonso is faster than you ,do you understand the message" the explanation will be we did not instruct Massa to let Alonso past (even though that was what it meant)

i would have said the same if it was mclaren or redbull or any other team, i do know that it goes on, but to be blatant about it is all wrong, where does it go from here if they do not get penalised?? Will other teams do the same?? then will other rules be disregarded

they say its a win for the team, but it would have still be a ferrari 1-2 if massa was allowed to keep going

Massa was in my eye's the man of the race, he raced really well and no-one could touch him untill the order's were given over the radio

It's a shame that Massa was robbed of a victory and Alonso was handed a win he couldn't achieve on his own.

It proves that Alonso is the No.1 driver in that team 'cos the constructor's points would be the same which ever way round they finished.

exactly mate, he took the huff when at mclaren cause he didnt get the NO.1 status hence he left early

he is just an arrogent tosser

Yep Ferrari giving out team orders if Alonso wanted to pass they should have raced for it and that spectacle was denied for the spectators and at the end of the day its the fans on F1 who should come first and not what is good for the teams concerned. Alonso likes to be number 1 driver with the team focused on him this was not the case in Maclaren where they were treated the same looks like he has got his wish know:thumbdown:

ferrari are taking the piss if they think we all sit there of a afternoon to watch that! Massa deserved the win if Alonso couldnt overtake on the track properly!seems to me the only top team that does not favour one driver over another is McClaren! at the moment!!!! :innocent:

dan.

latest news! Ferrari are fined $100,000 for breaching sporting regulations after appearing to implement team orders, but the result of the German Grand Prix stands.

100k, can you even buy a brand new ferrari for less than that lol

they should be stripped of this weeks race points and made to start at the back of the grid

one other thing to think about is match fixing (so to speak), if this was a horse race and one jockey pulled up to let the other win there would be hell on, what about all those people that had backed massa to win, it should be a void race

like i said, cheating goes on all the time, but if its blatant and gets seen it should be punished

The thing is, this is all part of the 2 part race (driver/constructor). Yes it's crap for us sitting at home and I agree with the comments, but for Ferrari it makes sense. Yes the constructors points would be the same, but, if Alonso manages to challenge for the world title and succeeds, Ferrari are back in the spotlight as winners. I can see why they done it, just fooks me off that it was Alonso.

the whole sport is fixed. look at button last year he's way out in front, no one can touch him then all of a sudden when it looks like the championship is over very early, he's no were to be seen till it goes to the wire then bang he's back to normal race speed. what a crock

Whatever one thinks or Ferrari, McLaren etc etc; this is just wrong, unsporting and not in the spirit of the race.

If one driver is ahead and his team mate it behind, then it should simply be down the drivers' individual skills to take the race as necessary - not the the team bosses to instruct the leading driver to let the other pass.

Like I said - I don't care which team it is; leave the driving to the drivers to decide who's best and not whom the team would prefer to win.

i see the matter is being discussed by World Motor Sport Council

the $100000 (or £65000) that they were fined was the maximum the the fia could fine them till the matter is disscused properly by the WMSP, a lot of people feel that both ferrari drivers should forfeit their point's from that race and i agree

at the end of the day its the punters that will be out of pocket if alonso manages to go on and win the championship, how many of thousands or maybe millions could be lost in gambling due to blatant cheating

and TBH if alonso was any type of sportsman he would hold his hands up and forfeit the points himself (although i dount it is upto him)

massa should have been allowed to race for the win no matter what, if alonso says he was quicker then he could have passed without any help from massa

thats my view anyway

I agree with you Allan its race fixing and a fine is not enough ther points have to go:hammer:

as ive said, cheating goes on in all forms of sport, but if a jockey was to jump off a horse to let another win there would be hell to pay, the jockey would be banned and fined, if a jockey just pulled the horses head down a bit to slow it and it wasnt noticed then he would get away with it

Agree 100% rich :mad2:

Fully agree, however, maybe they simply didn't trust Alonso and his 'red-mist' to get past Massa without taking one or both of them out, so this was the safer option for the 'team'!!

Always has been team orders and, to some extent, I could understand the move if it was nearer the end of the season and Massa was out of the running, but this was disgusting - mind you, whilst I admire him, I wouldn't want to be in Rob Smedleys shoes at the moment!!!

Dunno what the problem is, it's a Team sport - they want to win the constructors championship, it just happens that the driver who wins the Drivers championship usually means that they will win the Constructors championship as well.

Of course if they can help their driver win the Drivers championship rather than get a 2nd or 3rd, then why shouldn't they ?

one problem would be if you had a bet on Massa to win and he is told to move over:no:
