Can JDM Pearlescent White paint be sourced in the UK?

Featured Replies

Yes. As long as you have the code, any paint can be mixed. As to whether it can be matched, that's all dependant upon how skilled the paint shop is.

Problem with any paint codes is the car may have been painted before and not to the exact code, maybe a shade lighter or darker and not until any new paint is applied will you know.

Now any pearlescent paint is subject to a whole raft of issues when it comes to matching, paint code aside the amount of pearl applied, the direction it sprayed on and the mix.

Its a lottery when painting part panel with pearlescent colours, a full respray is often the only solution, making sure all bumpers and panels taken off the car are done at the same time by the same painter.

Certainly sounds a challenge.

I only need the front bumper painting, and seems a shame to re-spray the whole car just because of this, especially as it's in such great condition.

if you can do the bumper with-out having to colour any where near joining panels you might get away with it not being so noticable, plus bumpers tend to look a shade off anyways if its got to be done edge to edge then good luck lol its a lottery

Clever  you should get a job in a bodyshop :whistling:
