Hey guys

 

While replacing No2 injector I dropped one of the screws from the cap into

the engine bay :ohmy:. I think it may have rolled into the back part of the cambelt cover.

 

Is it now time to panic and take everything apart on a quest to try and find

the bolt ? Or is it more likely that it will not cause any damage and just "drop" somewhere.

shouldnt think it would find its way into the timing case, its sealed unless you have the modified case with adjustable cam sprockets, if its gone near anything that rotates or moves though I would be looking for it! You need a magnet on a stick lol.

IF it did roll in there then its likely route is to the very bottom of the cam covers where it wil jam itself inbetween the Crank sprocket and cover.....and eat away at the belt as it turns.

 

Im afraid I've seen this on Z's on a couple of occasions :(

Legath.....IF this were the case, or at least a strong suspision. Would there be any way of

getting to the bottom part of the cambelt casing and opening it to see if a bolt does drop out ?
