Right my car fookin stinks and its not because im sat in it (daz or baz):lol:

would over fueling cause the car to stink of petrol. I have always had a wiff (always run rich) but now the new injectors are in it really does wiff.

You cannot smell it on the move only on tick over and when the engine is just switched off.

1st thing in the morning i cannot smell any thing but it takes about 7 carnks for it to fire where as it only took one before

Also i get the odd blip every now and again if i floor it so i guess thats to do with over fueling to??

Ive had a good look at everything and cannot see any leaks it just looks to be vapor:huh:

any ideas from the pros?? :thumbup1:

Perhaps your car is trying to self ignite? it hates all the stupid things you`ve done to it and it just wants to die, so the easiest way for it to do that is to leak cheap Morrisons petrol over your rattly engine and BURN BABY BURN :lol::lol:

   to a certain extent I must agree with Dazza lol

I asked for help from the pros not tweedle dee and tweedle dumb :tt2:

check the line between the fuel rails under the throttle cables and also retighten all of the clamps first if that dont solve it then could be a O ring pinched when injectors fitted

hi,

i assume you had a new chip put in as well as the injectors.... (i think that is how it works :) obviously, depending on the size of the injectors)

im sure it is over fueling

if you have fitted bigger injectors without the correct map then it will overfuel. either that or a loose fuel hose or a leak on the low presure side ie between the maf and the turbo

Yeah it has a chip but for 555 injectors. I have 550 ones but it was just to get me on the road

Hope its not the injectors I cannot be arsed taking off the plenum again :(

If its only doing it whilst cranking or after running sounds like injector seal, would check all other pipes first though.

Stupid qustion buty is it definately coming from the front?

I had a leak from some seal thingy on top of the petrol tank but the smell kept wafting forward with the wind.

Which one am I tweedle dee or tweedle dumb??? :cowboy:

I had the petrol smell on mine, found a leak on the petrol line from the clip. Fixed that and smell came back a while ago and I assumed it was overfuelling as that how it had been set up until it was mapped. Tonight I broke the battery terminal connector, while fixing that I found a leak, the petrol line had perrished after less than a year so check the basics 1st!
