I'm tempted on going for the viper rear spoiler from ZCentre, but I saw this advert on ebay saying that the fitment and finish on the spoilers supplied by them is crap.

That's a low level spoiler by the looks. I'm going for the viper one potentially.

Anybody got any experience?

Thanks,

David

I think with most fibreglass one a little bit of jiggery pokery is needed to make them fit perfect, but i have not heard anything bad about the fitting of Zcentre stuff.

CarMad on here does fibreglass replicas, and everything i have from him fits bob on first time, so perhaps if you speak to him and see what spoilers he does?

Anyway good luck with the search

i've never bought a spoiler off of them , but the stuff i've bought from Luke have all been quality, dont really believe they'd sell poor stuff imo .

I have a high level spoiler in black you can have for free if you want to collect it, im only gonna bin it otherwise!

damn I would if it was a lower one thats the only one im not so keen on bud. Sure that will be snapped up though if you put it in the for-sale bit!

my dads bought the high lever spoiler from Luke some years back (2002) when he bought his 1st 300zx.

Our friend (person that done the bodywork) didnt say it was bad fitment he even blended it together with a spoiler that was already on there:

Sounds like a salesman is trying to turn people off other companies to buy from his!

I've never had a spoiler from Luke but everything I have ordered has been top notch :)

Got my viper from Luke, although it was sent straight to the bodyshop so the first I saw of it was after it had been fitted - wouldn't say that the fitment was cr*p, but there is a definite gap where it joins the tailgate. I was told that it was "one of those things", but have always blamed the bodyshop rather than Luke.

One other thing regarding the viper, I hadn't considered how much a 'mid-level' spoiler reduces (OK almost completely blocks) rear visibility and, despite it's looks, I probably wouldn't have bought it had I known.

Cheers,

Steve

I only have experience with the Fibreglass oem replica spoiler from Zcentre which I removed from my slicktop. Fitment was very poor, it wouldnt sit right as did'nt follow the stock lines.

I understand that others involved with the Group buy for these last year were also dissapointed.

But this is what you get for buying fibreglass unfortunatly.

You should see the Fibreglass Front bumpers from Ebay - Had the unfortunate involvement with assisting to fit several of these....they are a joke. The lines dont match up at all the entire bumper is either too long or too short.

I don't think it would be Luke's fault if it didn't fit. Does Luke make the spoiler?!

Interestingly though Lenagh, I compared a genuine muchos-expensive buddyclub sideskirt to a replica from ebay which cost 50 quid plus post.. the replica fit PERFECTLY and the BC needed a little work.. Also I dont see fibreglass as being a good excuse, I've had some fibreglass spoilers in the past and the finish/fitment was absolutely bolt-on perfect without any mods necessary.

well i bought a high level spoiler a few years back for the white zed bought off ebay but was one of lukes and it fitted ok, although he did have a go at me on phone for buying off ebay and refused to sell me a perspex panel, even though i told him it was a s/h spoiler.

saying that though i spoke to him last week about buying a high flow rad and he was more than helpfull even though he could not get one for 8 weeks

^ sorry but lol, he refused to sell you something?! That's one unique business strategy if ever I've heard one :D

Same with my viper spoiler mate. I could blend mine in though with black tiger seal so its not to bad for mine.

But a cannot say who made it because i got it 2nd hand

Could you post me a picture of your spoiler moby please? So I can get a better idea?

I'll try to get a couple of shots done over the next day or two.

yep got in a right strop because at the time someone was selling fibreglass zed stuff on ebay and using his pics from the z centre site, although a couple of bits i bought new had zcentre labels on them and were sent from the zcentre also

I've allows found Luke to be helpful and honest. Bought a 3 gauge dashmount pod from him that was warped but he changed it straight away even though it was a couple of months after I bought it.

Appologies (to Luke) if I've got this wrong but, ain't most of the Zcentre body kits copies of other brand originals anyway??

Not sure why someone would get a sad on about somebody buying a copy of a copy on ebay?

Yup. Copier and purveyor of all of the nastiest shite ever available for the Z.

^^^^^ agreed

Does anybody else feel that the developement of completely new but tastefully subtle body kits for the Z32, is long overdue.

A lot of them; even the more asthetically pleasing kits, are starting to look a bit dated now in my opinion.
