If theres enough clearance you may be able to force a socket onto it with a lump hammer, but you could cause damage so may be better to go down the route of getting it done properly :)

If you know who made the locking nut you could contact them for a key - I had to That once before and they were very helpful about making sure I got the correct fitting Key

Yup I had to do this a few months ago. If you still have the packaging then there should be a serial number and they'll be able to send you a replacement.

thanks for the replys, their is a old saying! "there's always one" managed to get 3 off but as you can see from the pic the damn top came off once got a grip of it!:pinch::cursing: went round to the garage i use and he reckons an air chisel!!!!!!!!! look like i am going to need a near as possible key to get the last one off.

dan.:smash:

tighten the other 4 bolts up as tight as you can so it will at least relieve some pressure off the bolt, DONT use an air chisel,

at the very last resort you could knock out the other 4 studs, then turn the whole wheel to loosen off the nut,

you may have to buy new studs though but im thinking its the least amount of damage

well the other key didnt work so going to drill the stud out and hopefully it should either just pull off or snap off!

Had this problem a while ago on my sons car. I got a length of steel pipe slightly larger dia. than the locking wheel nut. Then welded the pipe (from hte inside to the nut, I had already drilled a large hole in the other end of the pipe and put a breaker in the hole then just undo using breaker bar simples! Repeat and continue on all the remaining nuts, just cutting off the old fecked wheel nut welded to the bar.

Great minds! I had to do this on my old car. And on 3 out of 4 as well. Worked a treat.
