Aww...I'm gutted!

Good thing they've just been added to the photo for now then...I thought you would have spotted that!

Personally I like them (though not how they are in the photo), and surprisingly, they will be law from 2011 (for all new cars). There was me thinking that the fad started by Audi was being shamefully copied by most of the car manufacturers. It looks like they have no choice.

As for the Z32, if one was to add them, where could they go? In the slot in the bumper (as per the photo)? Could the side lights be replaced with day running lights or does the law require side lights as well as day running lights?

Dont put them anywhere on a Z32.

cheap nasty and chavvy. (IMO of course)

I've put some similar ones in mine in the same pace (but behind black perspex). Purely cos one sidelight has gone out and i need something so i don't get pulled by da law. Not gonna use them as running lights though so they'll only come on as sidelights. still got to get them wired in and they've been in for a fortnight.

PS. can't change the sidelight bulb cos the screw in the foglight just keeps turning and turning :(

I think you got this very wrong. The screw you keep turning is to adjust the FOG light level. The sidelight bulb is fixed.

BUT, to change the bulb/s you need to actually remove the whole unit which requires you to firstly remove the indicator unit (1 screw). This then gives you access to the back of the fog/sidelight unit. there are 3 10mm nuts holding the unit in. Remove them and pull the unit from the bumper. Unplug, then split the unit in half (4 screws) to access bulbs.

Once back together again you will need to correct foglight aim level as you have cocked this up!!

 Beat me to it! ha! Indicator unit has 2 screws BTW. ;)

Really?? Are you sure? My series 2 very definately only has 1 screw then it simply pivots out.

Happy days.:)

Just had a look at your photos and yes you have two screws, one top, one bottom of the back edge. Strange. Mine just has one in the middle of back edge and the bumper corresponds to this....weird changes.

Yup, really. They have two screws on each unit. Maybe one of yours has just fallen out or not been fitted before.

Doh doh doh doh doh doh doh and doh.

You're both absolutely right. I have got 2. Confused them with the rear side deflectors which I have just removed for the LED fitment.

Sorry Folks!!!:stupid:

Photos please. With and without the lens in situ. I am not aware of any bumper changes either as the bumpers have two plastic lugs that stick out with retaining p-clips them....there is nowhere for a screw to really fix to if it was in the middle between where the screws normally are.

^^^^sorry mate. Was editing my mistake when you posted this!

i was thinking of putting some DRL on mine as my LED sidelight bulbs have gone. but i really hate the look of all the chavy fake blue disco looking ones i see on many cars. The audi ones are nice IMO and the new merc ones look cool but i cant really find any that complements the look of the zed
