Hi All,

Thought I would throw this one out there. I am currently running my zed on 20- inch wheelmania vortex R's with pirelli p zeros with good rubber all round.

Would having such big wheels affect my zed's performance 0-60. If so how much time am i adding to my 0-60 performance.

My car is running 400rwhp. and 420lb of torque.

Cheers.

Small wheels = Good Acceleration

Roll a 2p 1 revolution on your desk, then roll a 10p coin, big difference.

Don't want to guess on times to 60 though, as that's all it would be a guess.

Surely you have got a tyre profile that compensates for the size of your wheel and as such, the rolling radius of your new wheels should be very, very close to stock with 16 inch wheels and tractor tyres??

If not your speedo will be miles out!

When I changed to 18inch wheels, I picked a tyre size that kept the overall dimemsion the same to within about 1-2%. This way my speedo stayed accurate.

Other than the tyre size, the 20inch wheel will weigh more that stock which means more torque is req'd to turn the wheels, so performance will be effected slightly although I doubt you'd noticed.

you'd have to roll it some to get it to 60!!:lol:

Unsprung weight will be much higher so yes you will be slower! Imagine putting super light 16inch wheels on you would feel the difference :)

Weight is key

Thanks guys,

I have seen some ultra light 19 inch wheels for sale. That weigh 8.5 kg fronts and 9.5kg rears. I think they would make a difference.

Cheers
