My contract is up on my iPhone on the 25th of this month and the new iPhone 4 is out in the UK with O2 on the 24th :thumbup:

i sold ma 3gs back to o2 for 260 bux just b4 the iphone 4 was announced,

 

using a stoneage motorola for the next two weeks,

 

but i think it will be worth it

The software looks the same as the current iphone which im happy to hear, as there is no point improving on perfection. Unfortunetly this phone will be limited out of the box (as was the original iphone) but a jailbreak will sort this out.

 

Best new feature is the 720p capture. Lets hope the battery is up to the task tho.

 

Although subjective, I prefer the shape of the current iPhone as I think the candybar shape looks tackey as hell.

I always prefered the aluminum look in the original iphone,

 

this one looks the doggs b*ll%cks.

Looks pretty amazing, 960x640 screen, HD video, 5mpix camera, faster, even thinner, better battery, new software, made from aluminosilicate glass and Alumiunium.

 

Im waiting for the 3gs to 4 upgrade pricing, they said they will be launching special upgrade pricing even if your existing iphone contract has ages to go.

 

If its too much then may just upgrade to the os4 software.

Looks okay, to be honest though, like the 3gs is the iphone as it should have been released, not the 2g shite. The 4g is only just keeping up with technology. Its not introducing anything new, 5mp camera? SE 905 had an 8mp a year or two ago.

 

As long as they address the truely appalling battery life - I have a 3gs as a work phone (infact most of us do) I have a colleague who uses it even more than i do and has had to resort to some awful addon battery pack that cradels the phone in order to make it last a day. Mine is normally dieing on its arse after a day, I quite often have to put it on charge midway through!

Its the Videocalling they are claiming to be revolutionary ...which is something the 3G Network tried and failed to make work...not something Im interested in but Apple are famous for turning around tech thats already out but that never really took off, into the Popular Mainstream.

In the video footage for the iPhone 4 the video calling looks awesome. No other network has done it quite like this.

Woo, O2 Recycle just paid me £235 for my old 16GB 3GS and £150 for my wifes 8Gb 3G
