hi im looking to buy my first 300zx twin turbo. dont know too much about the cars, such as things to look out for. I mean, i know the basics of when buying a used car but are the certain things to be cauitous about with the 300.

 

also not to sure about the price range, ive seen a few rough ones at 2k and was wondering if I could get a nice clean example for 3 to 4k.

My only few things i can comment on are rust especially on Uk cars, auto gearboxes can be temperamental if not serviced properly, smokey engines, but not always a problem, dont forget these cars are 15/20 years old so most will come with some sort of niggles, but there are plenty of parts and good mechanics around, and of course loads of help from us on here.

 

Good luck in your search and dont buy the first one you see, take your time and look at loads first, unless you know it`s the right one :cool3:

3-4k would get you a very nice one if you hunt around, Daz's link is a very handy one :thumbup:

thanks baz n daz for the info, i will be studying the link like a hawk. im glad i should be able to get a decent 300 for 3/4k. a few years back I had a saph cosworth, and needed to search hard for a half decent one for around 4/5k.

 

ive seen a few goodish ones (300) already so im confident of finding the right one for me.

 

i will keep you all updated on my search.
