I've had this bumper for ages, and decided its time to do 'something' with it. :cowboy:

Some Z's I see with scarab bumpers look brilliant (Daz's & Nick's for example), whereas others dont look so good. I think they suit dark colour cars better, which is good as my car is going 'a dark colour' (not decided which yet!)

So please air your views whether you think it will look good or not, and help me decide. One plus point is that it'll give me far superior air flow to the intercoolers, but I've also got carbon fog light ducts to go in. The nose panel is another 'unsure' mod.

ps. I know its not fitted on properly :whistling:

Have you chose a colour yet then Baz, I thought you were going white?

Decided against white, I come to the conclusion that I was after a more aggressive colour than ponsy-white :winkiss: but no, still not decided. Got some ideas, but its still speculation at the mo. ;)

gunmetal grey is an all round winner on the 300.. so is black and white.. and I wouldnt mind seeing one in renault blue (like on the fancy meganes)

I don't have skirts but yeah if I fit this bumper I'll get some. Should look good with the work equips too.

Nooooooooo it will look horrible with those wheels,

take the wheels off and sell them to someone:flowers:

The only problem that i have with the bumper is that its common. most modded zeds have these.

But the the headlight panel it makes it stand out a little more. and the fog ducts

can i interest you in some smooth skirts and rear :lol:

Maybe baby :winkiss:

really like this bumper alot, even tempted to sell my genuine stillen item to buy one and I hate to say it because I normally hate modified nose panels but that is the only one I have seen and liked enough to actually want, only if I got that bumper though, where did you get the nose panel? and does anybody know any companys that sell that bumper in plastic or anything stronger than fibreglass?

:hurl:

I've NEVER been able to work out for the life of me why this bumper is popular. It matches the car like marmite does on chocolate. Nothing works on it. The dropsides don't match the contours of the car, it flares out, there's an ungainly hole in the front (fat kid smiling), you loose the swage line. It's just a big block of fail IMO. Looks cheap, tacky and makes the car look like it's carrying a bumper rather than the bumper being part of the car.....and it's made of FIBREGLASS!

Even with skirts it fails. You still have a swage line with the skirts.

The only time I've seen this bumper work is when fitted to a strosek kit. Works on NOTHING else.

All you needed to do to your Z Baz to make it look perfect is to give it fresh red paint! None of this fibreglass nonsense is going to make your car look any better. New paint and it'll look first class IMO.

Thanks Liam... see its Si's fault again, just as I'm ready to make a decision theres a spanner thrown in the works :tt2:

I think I need to do some work on photoshop and ponder over it for a while, but the red paint is definately going.

Dude, seriously. With fresh red paint and the wheels you have + 99-spec rears and your car would be one of the best on here. You've got all the ingredients....don't chuff it up! :)

Freshly painted red Z32s look fantastic. Seen my fair few of them in the US and they just look ubber cool!

Personally I would listen to peoples advice but if I wanted it I would do it, is that nose panel custom or is it available to buy?

They are available from me. there are pics and prices in my traders section :)

Baz i say do it. i want to sell you the skirts and rear :lol:

better 'the devil' :devil2: you know!

If you don't do it can I have your bumper. :). Actually, it's not a bumper, it's a nose cone. It's a common misconception brought on from when cars had bumpers mounted on the front and rear before they started putting the impact bars behind the bodywork.

Dont listen to Funki, he know`S SHIT!!!!He hangs around with too many Yanks  He should change his name to plain Jane!! :gunsmilie: The original 300zx bumper is a 21+ year old design and looks pants, bring some sparkle to your zed and do whats right :w00t:

:lol::lol::lol:

  :scared: :mad2:   :slap: :nono:

:scared::lol: Some pants are nice ,especially Farah like Simon wears

LOL this thread is getting funnier!

I really liked Joely's last pictures, it looked great in red. But I really like the idea of a dark colour, grey or black. But it would be lots easier not having to do shut lines etc.

As you are into your american cars, I thought you'd call it a 'front clip' ;)

The original 300zx bumper was designed for the 300zx which is a 21 year old design. Grafting half a boat onto it makes it PANTS+ and turns a slick 20 year old Jap coupe onto something across between cottage cheese and halfords.

Nope, that would be a nose cone :)

My Trans Am has a nose cone, as did my Camaros :)
