I have noticed that when my car is at 95mph plus (on a private race track) and it is raining, the drivers wiper arm lifts off the screen, the blade flips over and it makes a nice arc shaped scratch on the screen.

Having a rain soaked screen at nearly 100 is entertaining to say the very least.

I've noticed some of you have a spoiler on the wiper arm. Is this stock on later models?

If you bought them, from where and how much?

It will save me a fortune in laundry bills!!!!

I use the Bosch jobbies from Halford, 'bout £14 a pair I think.

Incidentally, I also use Rain-X, with this you seldom need the wipers on when you're doing over 50mph.

Hi Simon,

Bosch do the replacement blades with the 'spoiler' attached. Not sure on cost but you should be able to get them from most places - even Halfords!!! :)

I have excactly the same problem above 80mph and NEED some of these!

Bugger! Beaten by 2 miutes!!! The only problem I've found with Rain-x is that it smears if you REALLY need the wipers - if ya know what I mean.

Thanks chaps. Excellent, another excuse to go to my favourite shop! (Seriously It is!!)

I think I'll get some fake bonnet pins while I'm there and some sparco velcro bits to put over my seatbelts!! Should be worth 5obhp.

The most impressive Halfords accessory is the stick on petrol cap with fake allen keys to make your car into a rally car. Brilliant!!!!!!

The one in Banbury has an orange Saxo covered in all the crap they sell! Priceless. Headlight eyebrows etc!

Simon (not sarcastic at all you know!)

Oh those glorious moments spent in Harries! Fantastic place, especially if you've ever been lucky enough to go into one of the monty superstores with shite load of ICE and dodgey tuning stuff...diamond!

The UK cars came with a big spoiler on the drivers side wiper arm. The Bosch stuff from Halfords has a spoiler but it is only half the size of the original one. Maybe get a Nissan original to get the big spoiler.

Hi,

I bought 'champion' wiper blade replacements for my car, and have a large spoiler on the drivers side one.( it won't lift off the screen up to 140mph...on a private road of course!)

You can buy them individually from your local motor factor...watch out for the size difference between the driver's and passenger's wipers though.
