I'll let you know what's going on, there's a rush for me to get the parts as its a scrappy vehicle and the garage wants shot of it, plus i need to get in before anyone else.

Take your one off, bolt new one on when you get there. You will have a vert for the trip down. lol.

Was just going to say that. Loads of people do that with the bonnets in the American car club.

Ah!! thats not what i want, you see the tailgate on my car has de laminated glass, thats why i need another one. I have also got a new spoiler and i would like the tailgate off the vehicle whilst i sort it out, so this way i have the spoiler to work on at my leisure.

Good shout anyway.

osty1's suggestions makes sense. Unbolt yours and leave at home, drive to collect new one without tailgate and bolt new tailgate on when you get there. Its just a means of collecting it. Its not permanant, its only 4 bolts. You just swap them back over when you get home if you want to do work on it unfitted.

This is providing its not a long way, I would'nt want to do a long journey with no tailgate.

Brilliant!! Osty1, if thats what you meant, i'm sorry, wrong end of the stick.

Its 40-50 miles, okay if it doesn't rain, I'll have a think.

Marty, if i do go down this route (no pun intended) and go tomorrow, is there anything you might need, i can have a look for you.
