Now that I have a new front end I dont want to spoil it with a massive number plate nor do I want to block the air getting in.

Does anyone know of anywhere that does the legal special sizes of 350mm x 112mm or 330mm x 140mm (standard uk size is 520mm x 112mm). I've looked online there are places that do them but they insist on putting their name / postcode at the bottom of the plate - then there was demonplates.com who let you choose your slogan at the bottom but not the special size I want!

Starting to pull my hair out over this because I want to be back on the road!

EDIT: Also is there something you can buy with a numberplate release so that I can remove the plate at shows etc.

http://www.fancyplates.com will sort you out, they'll make whatever you want up to order. They come highly recommended on this site, normally by those that have small plates  Like me! lol

Dave that plate you have on Eliza is pretty much the exact size I want and has 7 digits too. What size is it? Have you had any grief from the plod over it?

LOL Was my info not good enough? ;)

Dave's plate is the same size as mine.

It was fantastic info Si but I needed sizes in mm but I can see it on that funkyplates site now.

So both your plates would be 390mm x 84mm then?

Just go to Fancyplates.com and get the 3/4 sized plates. You don't need to worry about anything else.

My rear plate is custom cut from there too to fit the aperture. A lot of people have ill fitting plates and it's a real bugbear of mine!

Go for plain plates also. Steer clear of slogans, gay fonts, holograms and graphics as it's just tat. :)

i dont bother with the front one,

i thought of not having a front plate, just had my bumper sprayed, do you not get pulled for it? i would imagine i would get pulled all the time!

I had 300ZX.CO.UK as a slogan, gotta represent! But yeah cheers I ordered the 3/4 size plate. I stuck with the UK font so mine looks exactly like this:

Don't shout at me Si!

Not legal tho! Wish it was....althought strictly speaking nor is the plate i've ordered but at least it visible and more unlikely to get pulled for it

Correct me if i`m wrong but does the plate have to be attached to the bumper/bonnet? I have a small reg plate on the front bumper and always take a normal legal plate with me, and if i see the rozzas i display it in the front windscreen? is this acceptable?

MOT stations have at least 17 ways to fail a number plate these days, and its a £30 fine (no points) for being pulled with wrong plates.
