Good UK Spec TT Wanted!! (or good import insurer!)

I know it's a bit of an ask, but if anyone knows of a nice UK spec TT up for sale, please let me know! I have been looking around for a few weeks now, and they are pretty difficult to find, as I'm sure you all know!

I would gladly consider an import (as long as it seemed in decent nick and unless I'm convinced otherwise - must admit a few garages I have spoken to claim all Jap TTs are dogs...) but the insurance quotes I have been getting for a Jap one are silly! The best I've had is nearly £1500 vs the best quote I've had for a UK one being £820!!!

So either I need a UK one, or someone needs to give me the details of a decent import insurer (as far as I know I've tried all the usual suspects - even got a list from a garage which sells imports).

Cheers.

Matt

Try the insurance factory do a serch on here for the number. 1990 jap fully comp classic policy without using your no claims bonus only £540.

There are some nice uk ones about but they will take a lot of finding and cost more. It is easier to find a clean jap one look at the rides section on here there are some stunning jap ones, those dealers you spoke to are full of shit and will tell you whatever suits them.

Steve, did you get my email? It was just to say thanks for the info. Jap Village looks like a fairly good dealer. Also got some import insurer leads to follow up now so you never know...

I think you must be mixing me up with another Matt though! Thinking about it I did see some other threads on this forum from another Matt who I think was looking for a UK TT!!

I would definitely be interested in your customer's possible sale though - sounds good. How long have you been servicing the car for? Can you mail me the details/a contact number if he is selling it, as I am only in Chelmsford and I would definitely be interested to have a look.

Cheers!

Matt Woodroof!

DO NOT BUY FROM JAPVILLAGE.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE EMAIL ME

LEIGH

AON Insurance do a deal for imports and beat my nearest quote by 80 quid when i had my GT4. Their phone no is 01384 552 670. They have an advert in Jap Performance too.

Hope this helps John Crisp
