have both & xbox 360 wins for me...ps3 is a pain in the ass it updates every time u go to play a game & take ages,

xbox games are mostly 1080p as ps3 are only 720!!

xbox much easier to navigate around too ...i have no doubt that the ps3 is better built & will last longer but so is a toyota corrola but who wants one of those!!!

good idea, have added a poll

i would like to know who has had both and not played one for 5 mins you cant comment on both if you haven't had both. thats when we get fanboyism as stated above

i use both daily!! well actually i use the xbox daily & leave the ps3 to gather dust!! as there is nobody on the ps3 networ i know & the xbox network is sooo much bigger & better

I had both. and i had the ps2 and the xbox at the same time.

I alway found my self going for the sony. dont know why but i just perfer them. and as i said before i could never get use to the massive bulky controll pad of the xbox

ive always liked the look of the Xbox games, would love for sony to fetch some of them out, the ps3 games always seem too serious where as Xbox seem more fantasy and fun

but then i have codmw2 and have never found a game since that has come anywhere near it

and yes i know is hould get online lol

I've had both.....now have a 360, not sure why but I just prefer it, I've also heard that Sony may start charging for PSN

PS3 anyday, no one can really comment on GT5 yet as Prologue is nothing like what the finished product is gonna be but it will be worth the wait! Check out the work in progress video's on http://www.gtplanet.net/mclaren-f1-tvr-tuscan-speed-6-and-more-at-the-ring/#more-5790

PS3 has the faster processor and blu ray which means more information can be stored on the disc hence why Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, and GT5 are not possible on Xbox360... They would be vastly scaled down versions if they we're not PS3 Exclusives... Also the playstation network is free and there is plenty of free downloadable content. They are looking into charging for a Premium service in the future to gain exclusive downloads but it will still give you free online gameplay and playable demo's for free in the future...

Also find Xbox360's tend to go wrong more than PS3's! RED RING OF DEATH anyone???!! I'm not biased much! :D

Had both and my 360 died out of warranty :( Now have 2 PS3s which I use more for Bluray and streaming movies from PC. Just wish I had more time to play some of the excellent games (esp MW2)...

pros and cons for both IMO

ps3 pros

well built

quite reliable

blu ray

quiet

wifi built in

games getting better

free online

both uncharted games best on the system by along way

cons

loading and installs

triggers on the pad

crap leads who the f**k is going to connect a ps3 with a scart

back catalogue lacking

so called "top" games aint that great

online not as good as 360

xbox pros

great back catalogue

great online

most multi format games are a little bit better on 360 (but i think this is about to change)

i like the pad better apart from i think its a litter too bulky

i love the mass effect, fable, KOTOR, GOW games

cons

noisy as fook

cheap and nasty build

unreliable

no wifi

cost for online

disk scratchy thing

no uncharted :(

everyone STFU about GT5 they are not as good as your making out, this is my main gripe with all playstations, i have had every system since 1989 and have all this generations consoles aswell as a big rig PC i love all good games the system its on doesn't bother me but ever since the ps has been out everyone bangs on about this game and that, i pick it up and I'm thinking WTF this isn't the master piece everyone is calling it and the GT and GTA games are guilty of this the most as well as FFXIII the PS3 version is by far the best but even at that its a crap game. there are too many games out there with crap sales cause it doesn't have the hype as these other games but are far better games. rant over

Thanks for the thread Stu, haven't been around for a while, tempted with the xbox, but project natal is coming out at the end of the year :surrender:

I've had a 360 for a few years now, never had any problems with it. tbh though I've stopped using it for games lately and just use it as a DVD player and to watch Films on, via Wifi from the PC.

Seems to me that both consoles do pretty much the same as each other, and both do more than I'll ever need from them.
