My Z has got a misfire at around 2000-3000rpm, it runs really rough and sometimes I have to put my foot right down to get it to pull through. after about 3000-3500rpm it springs back into life and runs really smooth again...

I have noticed it is using more fuel than usual, there is a hell of a lot of black up the back of the car & when the revs are held to make it misfire the nearside exhaust seems to shake and splutter as though thats the side its coming from.

Also, it only normaly does it when it is warm.

Cheers guys, Dan

It could be a coil pack failing, the wiring, connections and contacts can be brittle or furred up, might be worth giving them a clean up.
