One of my tenants said to me late last week that he was going to bring his washer to work, we have a place where everybody puts bits of metal and cardboard.

I said to him what make is it? He replied Hotpoint, I thought mmmmmmmm good as I have been known and he knows I like to fiddle with them, one of my tiny talents. :shifty:

He just wanted rid of it as he did explain it was not working properly and he had bought another very similar for £300.

On Monday it appeared and very nice it was too, I quickly removed it from the 'scrap' pile and put it under lock and key in my bit.

First job on Tuesday morning was to look at it, always the first port of call is the rubber hoses underneath, see pic, I removed these and about £3 dropped out in loose change. Then round the front is the filter which is easily accessable for the owner, again see pic, I tried to screw it off but it would not fully unscrew because of even more loose change!!!!!

Eventually after tipping the whole machine on its side I got it all out.

In total about 15 coins and nearly £6.00 was taken out.

As you might imagine this was doing the washer no good and stopping the pump from going round, hence why it would not function properly.

So I got out of it £6.00 which paid for elevenses and the washer now functions perfectly.

That is certainly a win win in my book!!!!!
