I had two turbos fitted by a highly recomended member on here (£££'s!), drove round in it for 2 days and guess what.....

(Fcuking cars!!!!)

Its now going as spares/repairs. Gutted isn't the word.

Just sold the Regamasters and its just a sorry looking standard car with a tapping engine. Pissed me right off! lol.

The turbo replacement won't have had any affect on your bottom end going. Sounds like there was already wear in the engine.

No! Not at all. Well, yes actually! The guy I bought the car from. He drove round for 3 months with a knackered n/s turbo and as soon as it got sorted and I gave it beans down the ringroad, it went! So yeah I blame him! It must have ran so low on oil.

I've re-read my original post and I haven't made it sound like anyone to blame have I?? I have nothing but praise for the guy that replaced the turbos! Become a good friend now aswell!

sorry to hear about this mate:(

hopefully you get as good price for you car.

You not consider find another engine and putting it in?

Or maybe having the bottom end rebuilt?

Or maybe having the bottom end rebuilt?

or that one also.lol.

sorry to hear about the bottom end, i purchased my 300zx tt 7 months ago, with the bottom end slightly knocking 2500 miles later its still going. strange! took it to be serviced at zed world in december and they told me its def the bottom end and it will prob last about 1000 miles. but its still going strong. has anyone experienced this? ie lasting this long!

my na was knocking hence the TT i threw in..... i did a good thousand miles with it knocking and when the day came to do the conversion i thaught right, lets blow the f*kker up! so i redlined it for a good 10 seconds and let the revs die down after a dissapointing lack of fire and engine death......it was fine, still knocking its tits off, wouldnt blow up.... so i thaught fair play lets crack on with the conversion....

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes, these cars are ballbusters at times. I have an engine from my breaker from a uk auto with under 80 k miles on it, no smoke, only issue is the light tappety noise from the top end, but its only done about 350 miles since the last MOT, and about the same the last 4 years as its hardly been used and could be put down to lack of use. I'd be after £400 for the engine. Its still in the car in my driveway but easily removed.

Cheers John

Sir I salute your honesty on your e bay listing

No point in messing anyone about. It just wastes my time and everyone elses.

Fed up of people, mainly foreigners, asking whats my best price. Then asking how to fix a bottom end!! I hate Ebay with a passion! lol.

lol i was looking at your zed the other day on the bay, thinking to get it for the turbos and then break it.

Sad thing is these cars are worth more in parts.

Dan would you not consider fixing it if you want to keep it or have you just had enough of it?

The whole reason behind getting it was some cheap summer fun for me and my son! Roof off, tunes on! You know the score! lol.

But I was only banking on doing the turbos and then nothing else. The bottom end has to be honest, pissed me off and just looking at the car makes me want to punch myself in the eye.

If it doesn't sell on ebay I will fix it and drive it but i'd prefer just to get it gone. Ive got a track car that needs work ready for the ring in August so could do with the money aswell! Just spent £800 on two turbo's!!!
