Hi, I have been looking for a zed since November, seen about 12 scary examples. Also had offer from a Z specialist in Wiltshire who wanted to build me one from several scrapped cars he had, but the price kept going up and up every day, then he changed his mind and wanted to keep the car! Z world were brilliant going through their records and usually advising ‘the engine rebuild’ or ‘turbo work’ or ‘regular servicing’ etc, etc, the seller had claimed wasn’t actually done by them. But at last I have brought one! It’s a 1990 TT auto. Drove it home 120 miles. It took a couple of hours for the smile to go from my face. What a blast! Mind you I forgot about the overdrive and it took over half a tank of fuel, but I have now sussed it out. Any one in my area please come and have a look and see if it is as good as I think or have I missed something?

Not sure if this will open?

Thanks for the extra pictures, looks a great place to have the multichecker as I've got lots of gizmos and gadgets to put in and not much room. lol

Can you not move the wheel by undoing the six small countersunk bolts that hold the wheel onto the steering boss.

Cheers Paul went straight out and tried that idea, Moving it round by one pitch of the six setscrews takes the wheel off the horizontal line the other way but at least I can see the instruments through the spokes. Just have to get used to an out of true steering wheel or not dive straight too often.

Very nice! Ive never seen that spoiler before either.

The spoiler in question is a Border , very rare, Nap had it on his Zed, but i purchased it, soooooooooo now its mine, being fitted next month.:cool2:

Welcome to the club!!

And that looks a good, clean example too. I notice you also have the later spec seats (and possibly door cards, although the seat belts are still in the doors, the trim looks like the S2 alcantara); even though it's a G-plate......

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:
