door speakers - replacing.

Hi

Anyone changed their door speakers.

Currently got knackered Pioneer TS-1670 (16cm across)

 

Been offered some 16cm JBL628 - actually 6.5" - will these fit without butchering the metal on the door?

Looking at it a 17cm speaker (6.5in) will not fit into the metal casing.

 

Anyone retrofitted a good speaker in the door without cutting it up.

    scrub - bought some JBL GTO 628 - cut off tabs on speakers and they fit perfect.

    Just trying to find colour code for door speakers now got a brown and black/red.
