Just completed a 3 day rewiring job {few hours a day after work really},

 

decided when fitting my new stereo to replace all the power and speaker cables.

 

This was an interesting job as so many panels had to be removed aswell as the rear seats. Fitted a new antenna cable and while all the seats and rear panels were out i also installed a new cable for the rear fogs.

 

I was thinking of either doing a centre panel conversion with the lower two as fogs and the top two as reverse or converting the third break light on the boot lid.

 

last job was refitting my two guages back to their position under the stereo.

 

I hate using sparkie tape so i invested in a good crimp tool and heatshrink tubing, very professional looking mess of cables i have now.

Should have took soem photos as you went along and done a right up for a "how to" guide.

Just thought i'd post some of the pics of the new wiring for the stereo.

 

Also just setup the new loom for three new Iridium Guages from ZCentre.

 

For now i've inserted them into the stereo cage untill i can order a new din mount.

I have just realised you work pretty much next door to me!!!! Your Z looks very nice. I am over in NATS just across the road.

 

Will look forward to getting a meet organised once i get my Z back from the garage in the near future!

52mm gauges are to large to fit so check size first.

Ah in that case then mine will fit, i thought that they fitted into the black part of pod:stupid:

Know were you are now, I work in Skye road for the call centre and experience that lovely smell most days too.

 

Drive my Z most days to work and back.
