my misfire

Well just had rev1 here listening to his engine tap, its coming from his gearbox, and goes when he puts his foot on the clutch, engine is fine though.

 

Anyway my misfire, had his PTU off his car and put it on mine, same problem, so can only be the wiring loom now. as when playing with the cable with the car running and his PTU the engine cut out.

 

So anyway, put my PTU on his car, and his was running perfect.

 

Looks like I'm going to have to strip back the loom from the PTU and see if there is anything untowards going on :(

 

unless there is something else I'm missing.....

    looks like it, unraveled the connector wire, fiddled about a bit with the wires, plugged the PTU back in, all 6 firing again :blink: god darn 20 year old gremlins, need to rebook the MOT now..... lol
