Hi guys ,

 

I have a problem with one of my wheels that keep going down the tyre is fine as ive had that checked but the air is leaking from the splitrim now ive phoned loads of places were i live and no one will touch them nor can anyone give me anyidea who would , do any of you guys know please

You 100% sure it's the split part that's leaking? What type of valve do you have? If they are the rigid metal type, then you may find that it's leaking from the seal behind the rim.

I'm in the process of sorting one of my new work equips out. Kept losing pressure so we sprayed water on the bead of the tyre thinking that was it, but nothing. Then we noticed bubbles emerging in some water overspray on the split rim bolts. The local Tanvic tyres are doing mine, removing the bolts, resealing and rebuilding. But yeah its a bit of a specialist thing as you are supposed to have a special cage when inflating the tyre, as the sudden influx of air can fook the outer rim off. ;)

well its coming out of the beading around the side (as in the bolts) , I put the whole wheel in a bucket of water (a big bucket) and you can see where its coming from etc

It's also the same stuff you stick bodykits on with. Sikoflex. Do a search and it should bring up some results. Can prob get it cheaper on flea bay if you don't need it urgently.
