Hey folks i was after getting peoples views on AMS performance products for the zed. Has anyone used any of these parts for a long time and had any problems?

AMS radiators are of a high quality build and do there job perfectly, top adjustable arms are solid and under drive pulleys are also a very high standard of quality.

I'm friends with the owner of AMS, Vuk Zivic. I'm seeing him again next month actually in the US. They are good quality products and the guys that run/own AMS are very experienced and trustworthy. They supply Z1 as well. You can buy direct through Z1, AMS or even the 3ZC store that we have on the US 300zx site.

I have AMS adjustable suspension package from Z1. Excellent kit, well made and good value for money.

Thanks for the replies guys. It only occurred to me as i emailed a good 300zx parts dealer in the US and this is what they had to say.

 

We don't sell AMS pulleys anymore, they use really cheap material for their pulleys, and

they wear out very fast, so you will get leaks. The Unorthodox

Racing pulley, they use the best material. For Hicas, we have Edge

Racing or Powertrix, it's pretty much all the same

Not sure what the seller is talking about, but in many cases there is a lot of rivarly between suppliers (AMS are a manufacturer and supplier). Certain Suppliers and manufacturers have deal with others Manufactures and Suppiers about which products they supply. All gets very political.

 

AMS have a bad rep in some circles about how they go about their business, in regards to the copy and remanufacture of products, but thats how business works and their products seem to be of good quality.
