Hi Z nuts,

I have a pear white TT, it looks good. However I am putting some fine touches to it. Anyone have any ideas of what colour I could spray the calipers and the wheels in order to compliment the rest of the car???

Thanks for advices

and also what do you guys think about replacing the z badge on the bonnet with the illuminated z badge (used as indicator), good idea or not?

Thanks again

Leopard print works well and is easy to do for the brake calipers. As far as the wheels go if you want them to stand out with the new s****y looking Leopard print brakes, I would reccomend either white or the day glow orange or yellow. Will be a real head turner!

The more things that you put on the car that glow the better in my opinion. Would look cool IMO to have a glowing bonnet badge. A few on here would disagree but that with some strobing neons underneath would be awsome.

LMFAO Martin is that what you have planned next for yours, think it would look great redoing your shinny engine in leopard style..............

I will get you a gift voucher for the neons......................

Seriously Vic, with a white zed, if you have stock wheels, ie alloy, keep calipers the same of go black, anything else would stand out and look pants....

As for the z badge..............Kepp it as it is................

Vic sorry for the funny first post, im sat in the office bored stiff. Just thought it would be a funny thing to post to liven the daytime 300zx morgue up.

Red or Black for me, dont go for white or black wheels with a white car as it looks pants. Silver or polished alloy are the best options.

yah but FunkySi has a similar car to mine and he has made his wheels white and they look really good, so i was thinking to do something like that, plus with orange calipers.

My wheels are not white!?!?

Orange will be revolting. Stock calipers are something you really don't want your eyes to be drawn to. Keep them clean. Silver/grey or black are what I'd do....even when I upgrade to large calipers, they'll be Tarox or something in a silver or grey.

I've always said that 'keeping colours to a minimum' is what makes a car look easy on the eye. Same goes for engine bays. Nothing worse than ugly brightly coloured hoses. Black/chrome/silver is the way to go for an engine bay.

As for the glowing bonnet badge....seriously tacky IMO.

Edited by FunkySi

can I just point out there is no badge on the bonnet... lol and aren't pears green? :tt2:

Blue for the calipers, goes well with the white

yeah alright no glowing badge then :surrender:

Is this thought from the light up badges on the 350z?, and lol Baz was just pointing out the badge at the front is on the nose panel instead of bonnet :D

Chris

i think he meant pearl not pear but im sure you knew that anyways!

anyway in terms of calipers i reckon red paint with a white car - a move towards the sporty Integra Type-R look which I've always liked.

Stick with silver. Nice and clean. Who the hell wants their eyes drawn to stock calipers!? Keep em silver and they'll just blend in to nothingness.

Whenever I see red, yellow, green or whatever colour calipers I think 'oh, he's painted his calipers' rather than 'oh, that looks clean and tidy'...as in having them silver.

Gun metal grey is what you want, make them dissapear, but with the paint sanded off the 'NISSAN' writing so it stands out. Silver is too bright IMO, merges with the wheel and interferes with the shape.

yeh good point, clean and tidy is good. but i thought to put the orange because i seen a nice white ferrarri with orange calipers and it looked mad, my friend also has a cool black zed with red calipers and that also looks good.
